Four-Star TE Bunting To Michigan

Hinsdale (Ill.) Central four-star TE Ian Bunting committed to Michigan on Tuesday.

Michigan made a move on Notre Dame this weekend to land four-star TE Ian Bunting.

The 6-foot-6, 210-pound Bunting chose the Wolverines over offers from the likes of Northwestern, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, USC and Vanderbilt.

Bunting visited Ann Arbor for an overnight stay over the weekend.

"It just felt like home," Bunting said.

"I was over there and got to spend a lot of time with the coaches and a lot of time with the players and my parents were there and they loved it too. It's a special place that's for sure. In my eyes it's the best program that gives you the best education you can get and best level of football you can play at the same time. That really attracted me and the people behind it is what sealed the deal."

Bunting becomes the seventh commit for the Wolverines in the class-of-2014. He is ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 11 tight end overall.

Heading into the weekend, Bunting was favoring Notre Dame but the presentation at Michigan couldn't be matched according to its newest pledge.

"I was really liking Notre Dame," Bunting said. "I had a few schools I would consider my top few teams. After going to Michigan it pretty much made it a lot easier of a decision. The sense of family I got when I was there was the best sense of family for any place I've been. The coaches' wives were there. Their kids were there. We got to talk to them a lot. It felt comfortable. It felt right. It felt like the best fit for me."
