will devin ultimately help the running game?

  • The struggles of the oline haven't gone unnoticed this year. But the running game always has the distinct disadvantage of getting run blitzed and a defensive literally geared at stopping the run at all cost. Devin Gardner can get the ball down the field in a hurry. He is also much taller and can see the field better. I will assume the run game may be helped by having to honor the pass. What do you say?

    It all depends on the gameplay called but if Bourges dials up some nice passing plays, that can only help unless NW is going into the game with the plan to keep making us throw regardless.

  • By running game did you really mean to type running backs? If so, then I can see your point, otherwise, this is the type of game a healthy Denard puts up Heisman numbers.

    Yes, essentially I am speaking of running room for the backs guys. Sorry I did not specify.
