I would take these calls for Bellomy a lot more seriously if these people said: "You know what, this team isn't going to win with Denard, we may as well bring in a younger guy and focus on the future instead." but in reality these guys are the guys who will cuss and scream if Bellomy comes in and completes 2 out of 12 for 18 yards and 2 picks and a fumble and talk about how that's embarrassing and not the Michigan football they grew up with etc. etc.
These guys actually expect Bellomy to magically be better than Denard even though there is zero indication that would be the case and no qualified observer would believe such a thing, in other words they entirely lack credibility.

I respectfully disagree.
His philosophy: A coaches job is to do the best he can with the personnel he has. He had players suited to play the spread, so he incorporates into his gameplan. As he recruits his own guys, he continues to run what's best for his current players, while instituting new principals that will become his future offense.
The Result: A Sugar Bowl victory, which was our first BCS bowl in in how long????? And we are very much in the running to win the Big Ten title in year number two. So basically, his rebuilding years are producing about as good of results as we've had since 1997.
And here's Hoke's Losses: 1. MSU - We probably just weren't as good as they were unfortunately. 2. Iowa - We had it. Blame the officials or not, Hoke gave the boys a chance to win. 3. Bama - Nobody could have coached our team to a victory in that. 4. ND - 5 really really plays in a row, and there's your ball game. Otherwise we likely win and are top 15 right now.
I'm very appreciative of the job Hoke has done, and am more excited for Saturday to come than I've been in many years.

I agree with everything you said except for one thing. ''Best athlete to ever don a UM uniform''.
I think a certain HEISMAN winner from '97 would have something to say about that. I can actually think of a handful of other players also. Howard?
Howard and Woodson went on to play in the NFL. Robinson won't even sniff the pros. And if he does he'll get released within 3 years never to be heard from again.

You sir should be ban for that. Denard has done his absolute best in the maize and blue. He has shown great pride in everything he has or hasn't accomplished. I think he will play for much longer than your "Heisman hopeful" linebacker. He is a better athlete than Tim Brown. What happens if he can catch? If you have comments to make about the future of Michigan athletes you should keep them on the obnoxiously golden page!

I would like to think much better of Denard, and any Michigan athlete than what apparently is Irish print.

Robinson has a chance to make it as a return man, maybe a slot guy. But obviously the fact he spent his entire college career practising as QB rather than any of those things sets him back a bit on that front.
But there are a few examples here, Antwaan Randle El was an explosive "one man offense" at Indiana before becoming a useful receiver in the NFL, Matt Jones was the Razorbacks' QB before he embarked on a career as a WR in the NFL but of course drugs kinda ruined his career early on.

think about that for a little irish. He's an explosive player. There's gonna be some nfl teams that would love to put him at KR, slot wr and at qb for the wild cat. you have running backs in the nfl running the wildcat. it makes it more dangerous if you have denard running it at 4.3 speed and can throw an average ball if the D brings the house.

What position do you see him asked to participate at the Combine this year? As some alluded to he has all the makings of an elite CB, IMO. Size and quick twitch reflexes, but he's such a threat with the ball. Very interesting dilemma for NFL coaches. Seems like learning to play CB would take a lot more time and reps than being asked to play WR.

yea, possibly could become a corner but I think his highest potential is as a percy harvin type, used in the backfield, slot and returner. He is just so dangerous when he has the ball in space, outstanding speed and "make you miss" ability that I don't really see him moved to corner.
