Riddle me this. I went onto tRCMB and started a topic asking if MSU was a football or basketball school. I swear it was an honest question I didn't know. I woke up the next morning to the tune of -120 downvotes. Seriously what is wrong with your fanbase?

Your first post said my points were baseless. When I provided actual document proof with links to information I proved my point and outmaneuvered you.

Your attempt to say I'm claiming "nu-uh I was right" is a weak attempt to re-frame my intellectual victory over you. A typical tactic by a wal*verine and indicative you lack the mental sophistication of an actual alum.

Regarding Vietnam - read the link, UMAA was part of the radical violence against our military: We've since learned that there are productive ways to vehemently oppose military policies. You take it up with your politicians. Most Vietnam troops were drafted or had little choice in going. They were just doing their job. Burning military ROTC buildings on the UMAA campus, spitting on troops coming home, and calling troops baby killers puts the University of Michigan on the wrong side of history.

As far as not addressing my points and not documenting your points, you've done neither. I win. Quod erat demonstrandum.

I also don't see why you're so upset about a thread that you perceive as an "extended attack on MSU." It's not like the thread was started by a neutral observer or anything. Also, it's not like your homeboard has played host to recent threads with titles like "Watched a room full of scUm dreams die tonight," "Brett Bielema is a d-bag," "OSU conspiracy," and the succinct, ever-so-classy "Fuck Michigan."

Perhaps if you were on the RCMB more, you'd understand. But you have little reason to visit the site, so you're not educated on the oft-intentional misspelling of the word which stems from the humor of it's unintentional misuse by trolling parties.

Document proof? Of what? You only provided a list of MSU's campuses and an article that mentioned Michigan exactly once, saying that ROTC buildings were damaged. That article didn't explore the motivations behind the damage to the Michigan buildings in the least, and you completely ignored my response to your points about the military. If you want to trash me for not citing everything in my post, you should take a look in the mirror.

It's hilarious that you're calling me a Wal*verine and saying I lack the mental sophistication of an alum. Not only are you outing yourself as an idiot by using that term without actually knowing where I went to school, but your premature declaration of "intellectual victory" is just a joke. Your claims of "self-evidence" are nothing more than an evasive attempt to get around my actual arguments. It's the college student equivalent of sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting "LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU."

Finally, I'd rip into your wild misuse of Q.E.D., but suffice it to say that that phrase should be used following a demonstrated proof - pretty much the antithesis of your post.

Yeah, I guess you're right, I mean, a 4-generation legacy is obviously "no affiliation." Then again, maybe the only reason I root for them is the helmets! It couldn't possibly be watching Charles Woodson live when I was 9 years old. It clearly couldn't have been the maize-and-blue themes of every family reunion I've ever attended. It also couldn't be my family's status as descendants of one of the members of the first class of the Delta Gamma sorority at Michigan. Must be the helmets.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here - your mixed tenses don't exactly lend themselves to a coherent reading of your post.

However, if you're being sarcastic as to the "baby killer" reference, that's understandable. If you're serious, I'd like to quote the article to you:

"In the Vietnam era, hostility toward ROTC programs soared as the war's casualties increased and reached a height when U.S. troops were sent into Cambodia in 1970. Student protesters occupied ROTC centers at many colleges, and fires and explosions damaged the program's buildings at the University of Michigan, Kent State University and the University of Colorado."

Not only does that article say nothing about spitting on troops or calling them baby-killers, it doesn't even say that it was Michigan students who set the fires or caused any explosions.

Regardless, I'd rather be part of a university that protests the unnecessary killing of U.S. soldiers than one that stifles dissent on the same subject.

Simple answer, Yes Michigan State's inferiority complex is really that bad. It's evident in the way they conduct themselves. The attacks against Michigan, and the belief that they are of the same rivalry level as Ohio State vs. Michigan. So yes, It's that bad.
