Insiders on Bucknuts are saying its very likely you guys pick up Smith today. Hoke's spread offense pitch really seemed to work on him or people are just really un-informed about the spread/Meyer's spread. Oh btw, you guys ran the spread 80% of the time last year.

I know Meyer is pushing for Smith because he is a top Ohio kid, but part of me really wonders if he hopes Smith goes to Michigan. Ball and Dunn are similar types of players with as much, or more, upside than Smith. Green is a better fit, and a different type of back, so Smith going to Michigan would open the door for Green to be pursued even harder without hurting the feelings of local coaches asking why the Ohio kid was passed over. Getting Smith might also reduce the chances we get Isaac, which might be something else Meyer would prefer.
