Michigan all the way! It sucks cause its really cool for a small school like OU to get into the tournament but gotta go with my roots. Its not physically or mentally possible for me to root against UofM just like im sure it is for you with MSU.

Well, that might have been how it was but I went to MSU.

Don't feel bad, the guy seemingly hates MSU too. He must have a personal vendetta against American-made cars and mittens.

  • Been to some OU games this year. By far best player on OU's team is d.j. Cooper. Point guard, pretty good handles, good on d, green light anywhere. We shut him down should win no problem

I go to school at OU, love the wolverines always have. Any true bobcat fan hates the hell out of OSU just as much as a Michigan fan does trust me. Them chanting O-H-I-O pisses all of us off has a student at Ohio University. And as a Michigan fan makes be laugh cause they don't know there own damn name.

Not trying to start anything or cause an argument, but your assessment of OU students is completely wrong. I'm a junior at OSU, but was a student at OU my first two years. I transferred because they have a lot better business school than OU...But A lot of my friends go there and I've literally met hundreds of people there. I know a few of the kids on their basketball team as well. I literally have not met more than a couple OU students that aren't also OSU fans. I will say that a lot of OU students think that OSU STUDENTS are cocky douches, but they love the sports teams. A lot of the kids there grew up in Ohio and are OSU fans. Like I went down there on game days when OSU was away a few times this year and was always out around campus on game days my first 2 years there and there were just as many kids there wearing OSU stuff as there was wearing OU stuff...again, not trying to start anything but what you're saying just isn't true...if anything, from my experience, OU students hate Michigan even more than OSU students because they are 1. Mainly OSU fans and 2. It pisses them off that they started calling OSU Ohio, because they are the real Ohio.

Every OU fan I have met (I know a bunch since my wife goes to school there) hates OSU.

But I do agree that a lot still hate Michigan, but not for the reasons you listed.

No, they don't. They hate the OSU students. They don't hate the OSU sports teams...and well, I went there for 2 years so not to be a dick, but I know what I'm talking about. Maybe we just met the two different demographics there, who knows haha

Probably all depends on the campus as well.

Which campus did you go to?

I lived in Wilson on West Green my first year and in Jefferson on East Green my second year. But, the experience wasn't any different on either. I basically met the same type of people on both. There were a few kids that hate OSU like you said, but those are the kids that don't really care about sports. They're speaking strictly on the people that go there. They feel that OSU kids are a step down from Miami kids in a sense of douchiness haha. I've also met a few Michigan fans too, but there aren't very many there that I've met. For the most part, from my experiences there, almost everyone I've met was also an OSU sports fan. My entire floor both my first and second years actually had parties for the OSU games whenever the Bobcats weren't playing in Athens.

My wife attends the one in Lancaster, and has been to the Athens campus as well, and from our experiences so far (she is year 1 right now) they don't like the OSU sports teams.

Seems very similar to the UM/MSU situation, though Ohio doesn't field good teams very often (hardly ever to be exact).

Well, not to be mean, but you can't really speak for students in Athens when you go to Lancaster. Is she also a Michigan fan as you are? Because that could kinda bias her opinion. I'm an OSU fan so you could say my opinion is biased as well, but I lived in Athens for 2 years so I wouldn't really say that I'm too biased because my experiences have proved what I'm trying to tell you. Seeing as how she has only been there this year, that is also completely different. The last 2 years, OU's sports teams weren't very good, so the OU kids would root for OSU. But, this year, OU won the MAC in both basketball and football so kids this year might seem like they root for OU more because they actually have something to root for this year. I wouldn't say that it's anything like UM/MSU because both of those teams have been competitive and have been able to beat each other in the past. OU has never been up to par with OSU and thus, there is no rivalry or sense of animosity between the two schools. As I've said, almost everyone that I've met at OU hates OSU students, but like their sports teams.

She takes classes at the one in Athens all the time, and no she is not a Michigan fan.

She is from a family of Buckeye fans.
