Where is the urgency?

If there is ever a game that is decided based on the play of JT....we are toast. Sorry but I've never been impressed with his play.

Man Borges has got to be the most stubborn coordinator i have ever seen. He insists on running a play until it works. Got lucky with the pass interference there on another half rollout that hasn't worked yet today.

Devin Gardner has been maddening this game. He'll make plays like that, but he's still not completing 50% of his passes.

NW has always given us trouble, they are a smart team and they hate us because we don't respect them (see the reaction when a staff writer said NW could move the ball on us). I sometimes feel on our staff we have too many lions, not enough foxes. It's the opposite with NW.

What they are doing isn't rocket science, but they count on us failing to stop a running QB with the option in play, with the occasional wrinkle thrown in and they are entirely right. This D is good when it faces a conventional opponent where high intensity, swarm to the ball type football with different pressure packages does major damage. But there are ways for an offense to subvert that sort of D, through misdirection, through the option, through the QB run and we really aren't very good at reacting to that.
