  • Good win and learning experience. They didn't play that well the first 30 minutes but came on strong at the end.

I sure hope not. He's not better than THJ.

    Yeah, I guess I wouldn't mind that.

But what I would really like the starting lineup to look like is
    PG: Burke
    SG: THJ
    SF: GR3
    PF: Morgan
    C: Mcgary

That is our best 5, imo.

I don't mind him coming off the bench to start a game. It seems to be working for him and he still plays a lot of minutes.

  • I would prefer to see us go bigger as well. It was an ugly game, and the only reason Michigan won was because they dominated the glass. There are going to play more games like this in the B10, and for the first time in a long time, we will usually have the upper hand on the boards. Might as well exploit it.

I want to see this line-up at some point too but probably not as the starting rotation. I don't think we've seen GR3, McGary, and Morgan all on the court at the same time.

I can't believe we out-rebounded them by 10. It did not seem that way at all during the game.

  • Great atmosphere at MSG tonight, felt basically like a MICH home game. Was really impressed with the way the team rallied after a sloppy start, very clear who the better team was...and really, if we shot our 3s at anything resembling a reasonable rate and got the calls we were supposed to (there were two distinct stretches - one in the first half, one in the second - where the officials essentially gifted PITT 6-point swings), this game would not have been close.

Hopefully Beilein can get Burke to distribute the ball a little more, there were wayyy too many possessions where he just dribbled around for 20 seconds without making anything happen. More ball movement, and more consistency on defensive rotations and I think this looks like a really dangerous team.

Not suprised we didn't shoot the ball well from 3. We had a couple really good shooting games in a row. Knew our shooting would come back down to earth. Both Hardaway and Stauskas were shooting 70% or better from 3 coming into this game. Both were due for an off night shooting the ball.

I thought Michigan was rebounding the ball well all game. Hardaway, Stauskas, Vogrich, Robinson and Burke do a great job of helping the Bigs rebound.

I agree. I love having Stauskas and McGary coming off the bench. McGary brings a ton of energy when he comes into the game. Stauskas brings a scoring punch off the bench. It doesn't matter who starts the game but who gets the minutes and finishes the game. Stauskas will get more minutes than Vogrich and he will be in at the end of games.
