Not any more. His stock is dropping faster than State's pre-season expectations.
MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

I need to see Denard successfully run against State before I say he will successfully run against State....
Conventional wisdom would say that Borges has the advantage here right? I mean, he already knows what State is going to do.
"Oh, look, ANOTHER A-gap blitz by Bullogh and Norman/Allen."
"Oh, look, ANOTHER corner blitz by Adams/Dennard."
And for the love of god, give me some hard counts. It drives me crazy when teams allow State to time their blitzes when it is seemingly easy to avoid.

In 2010 Denard had like 300 yards of total offense on MSU. 215 passing with 1 TD and 86 rushing yards on 21 carries with 1 TD. The problem that year was the 3 Ints he threw. All we need Denard to do is to put up those numbers without the INTs and Michigan wins easily.

I see your point, but I don't want to consider a game played two years ago.
I think their defense is better and more established now than it was back then. And like I said, Michigan KNOWS what is coming. It will be a matter of how they want to attack and if they will have success against a predictable defensive gameplan....

Isn't that exactly what everyone is doing? Considering games played 2 years ago or even last year when they say MSU knows how to stop Denard.

I am so ready for the damn game to kick off... Still very weary of this game for some reason...The D should help establish the tone of the game early but I have a feeling they will be gunning for Denard... Their D is filled with dirty players.

GF: (at the half) so OSU still has time to win, right?
Me: yeah...
GF: do you think the buckeyes win?
Me: probably, Purdue isn't very good.
GF: really? But they are beating OSU?
Me: yeah, OSU ain't that good either.
GF: whatever, you're just saying that cuz you're a Michigan fan...

This game is excellent. OSU just gave up a safety, so Purdue's up 8 and they get the ball with 10 minutes remaining in the 4th. Time to bleed clock and put Purdue up by 2 scores!

OL Dan France is out for MSU today due to a concussion. They've lost pretty much their whole OL this year due to injury.
