You have no way of backing this argument up. At all. Sorry, but you're wrong.

I'm pretty sure 90% of FBS passers are better passers than Denard.

Seriously, if he wasn't as fast as he is, he wouldn't be a QB.

I'm not talking about his arm strength, I'm talking about his piss poor accuracy and his tendency to force just about every pass.

Denard has played fine. Give me a break. Even the INT was not his fault, perfect pass.

That last drive was the coaches fault...they should have taken a timeout.

What worries me more is our OL and DL...not impressive at all.

Perfect pass? We have complete different definitions of "perfect pass".

This. The pass was a bit high, but that was probably necessary to get over the line. It hit Smith's hands and therefore should be caught.

Are you serious? Denard had absolutely no pressure on that throw and over threw Smith.

The OL has been great in pass protection all day, but they do need to work on their combo blocking for runs.

DL has struggled, but Black and Beyer/Clark have been getting great pressure.

And I'm not talking about Denard, I'm talking about what evidence you have to say that Bellomy is the better option. There is no such evidence, therefore you argument is moot. I respect you as a poster M&B but I don't agree with you at all here.

Line play is a bit worrisome.

exactly, that INT is entirely on Smith.

And I'm not gonna get on Toussaint either...he's had precisely zero room to work. OL play is extremely unimpressive.

not only that but the whole top of the field was open if he wanted to take off. All he had to do was get outside the DE who was being blocked and he had a ton of room to work with. But the only times he runs are when he has made up his mind before the snap.

Agree about OL and DL. Hopefully then can shore it up soon..

  • Looks like Denard is gonna have to run the whole second half....just run, roll out options run passes, just fake to Fitz and head towards the sideline every single play

Denard was pretty good in that first half. I am not sure why you are bashing him. The D struggled. The running game struggled besides Denard. The time management on the last drive was horrible. The coaches should of used a timeout or 2. Denard has over 200 yards of total offense and you are complaining about his performance. He is 9/13 in the first half which is a very solid first half. He is not going to complete every pass and the team is not going to look good if he does not get more help.

  • The INT pass, over the middle over both the OL and DL, was perfect. That Vincent Smith is 5'6" and should not have tipped the ball up? Not Denard's fault. These are facts. I don't think Denard is a great passer by any means...but please, don't need to exaggerate his negatives. .

If you are going to fault Denard on that play, it is that he didn't choose to run...which he would have easily picked up the 1st down. But that is a different argument.

You want to know why I'm bashing him? Because he can only make throws where the receiver is wide open or his receiver bails him out. Second week in a row where he has forced multiple throws, the difference is Bama made him pay for it. Denard should have about 3 interceptions right now.

It wasn't perfect! he over threw Vincent Smith, Smith should have caught it, but there is no excuse why Denard didn't hit him in the chest.

His receivers have not bailed him out on any plays. If you are talking about the Funchess play i disagree. Funchess was open. The throw was a bit short but that's not a bad thing when your receiver is 6'5. The only throws Denard has forced today are the ones at the end of the half when he was trying to push the ball down the field to get into field goal range. The coaches could of helped by taking a TO. The rest of the half Denard played very well.

I take it you still expect us to beat ND and Nebraska without Denard and have Bellomy start the rest of the season?

He played well because he receivers were open, but the last two weeks he has forced a lot of throws. He did it on the second drive of the game too, but the AFA LB couldn't catch it.

If they contain him, we need someone who can make the throws.
