Yeah, they let KU back in it. That white PG they had was clutch at the FT line.

  • The Miami/NCST game was unbelievable. Miami got a tip in to take the lead with .8 seconds, and then NCST chucked up a full court shot that went in and out.

  • Oregon loses as well. That's 2, 6 and 10 to go down already today.

I was bummed. They were showing the GTown game in my area instead of the Miami/NC State game.

  • Glenn Robinson III underperforming last night will certainly have an influence on his decision whether to come back next year. He will remain a top-15 pick or so due to his upside and I'm sure he will have monster performances in other big games down the stretch, but it's becoming more evident each time we play that he needs to work on his handling and jump shot. Especially his jump shot, it clunks the back of the rim almost every time he shoots it. Similar to Burke last year, entering the draft isn't necessarily out of the question, but he really needs another year in the NCAA to refine his skills.

Robinson's jump shot is better than i expected it to be this year. He is shooting 40% from 3 which is pretty solid for an kid as athletic as he is. In my opinion, Robinson's biggest weakness is creating his own offense. He relies way to much on Burke, etc... to create his offense.

I'm speaking more to his mid-range game. His 3 pointers have been solid, although he seems to miss some of his better looks. And he finishes as well as anybody at the rim. But the 10-15 foot jumper for a kid like him would be lethal, and he just hasn't fully developed it yet.

This. This one portion of his game would be helped tremendously by staying one more year and being "the man" on offense. I'm beginning to lean towards thinking he stays, but it's a weak draft class this year and if he finishes strong I still maintain he leaves.

  • I'm still really torn on GRIII leaving. I believe he's got top 3 overall pick talent, but to get there he's got to refine some things...namely his mid range jump shot. With his size and talent, there's no reason he shouldn't be able to take over a game the same way Trey does. Hopefully he'll stay another year to work on that.

Hardaway is playing some damn good ball this year, and I could see him leaving now more than I could have seen him leaving earlier in the season. If he does, GRIII could take a monumental leap if he stays.

If THJ stays, I'd love a 2nd year of Stauskas-THJ-GRIII.

If THJ and GRIII both somehow stay, and Walton has even a comparable freshman year to what Burke did his frosh year in simply facilitating the games, putting up some points and not turning the ball over, we will be a top-3 team without question. Our talent would be through the roof.

    Walton
    THJ
    GRIII
    McGary
    Stauskas
    --
    Irvin
    Morgan
    Horford
    Albrecht
    Levert
    Donnal
    Bielfeldt

I honestly feel we could put together a top-25 team solely with our bench from the aforementioned players. (Albrecht, Irvin, Morgan, Levert and Donnal is a damn good lineup)

I think GR3 can be a very good bordering on great NBA player (just like his father).

But right now, he's currently a late lottery pick imo.

I can name 5 players that would picked before GR3:
    - Nerlens Noel of Kentucky (defensive presence)
    - Ben McLemore of Kansas (well-rounded)
    - Michael Carter-Williams of Syracuse - tall, scoring PG
    - Marcus Smart of Oklahoma State - another tall, scoring PG
    - Cody Zeller of Indiana - skilled PF

However, this year's draft is expected to be weaker than next year's draft.

I didn't mean this year. I mean if he stays in college and refines his shortcomings, he could be a top 3 overall pick.

I don't see his ceiling being that high as a college player, but that's just me. You can tell this kid has really just come into his own the last few years. When his game matures I agree he'll be a starter in the league for years.

  • Its good that all these teams 1-5 have keep on losing (Duke, Louisville, Florida, Kansas, Syracuse etc....) because if Michigan can hold steady with few losses down the stretch in B1G play, our ranking will be top 5 in the country, and we will be more likely to get a #1 seed in the tourney (#2 at worst).

    Kansas goes down to TCU

This might be the most shocking upset of the year.

Consider this: KU is ranked #8 on Ken Pom while TCU is ranked #278 out of 347 teams.

One thing I don't like about Kenpom is that Florida can still be calculated to be #1 even after the ugly performance against #62 Arkansas.
