Kidding aside, looking at this purely from the outside, I think Rick has a decent shot of being right on this one. I'll admit I have no inside info, but there are some decent fact patterns:
1) Isaac has talked alot about taking his time, but he also doesn't have any more planned visits or displayed interest in any other schools that he hasn't visited that I'm aware of.
2) He seems to truly dislike the recruiting process and doesn't like playing the game so why prolong it and continue to be pestered by media and fans if he's confident where he wants to go?
3) He brought his mom up to Michigan for what was his 3rd? visit as if he was getting ready to propose. His trip to USC almost felt like his last fling to assure himself he was making the right decision. As long as the trip didn't create any major doubts, it seems like he should be ripe to pop the question.
Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of these points.
I certainly hope I'm wrong on Isaac. I'd love for Isaac to have the opportunity to see what I believe will be the case with OSU, which is that we'll still incorporate a good amount of power running even with Meyer as the coach, but will also display a variety of spread features that should mesh well with all of Isaac's natural skills. Sadly, I think that's all wishful thinking that OSU really has a legitimate shot, and I've braced myself for disappointment.
If somehow you guys land Peppers next year, though, I'm still jumping off a cliff!

Nah Richard, you're right on all accounts except for Meyer's spread meshing with Isaac's style; however, that's the problem with what Rick is saying. We all realize that Isaac could drop at anytime. Taking a shot in the dark on the heels of Isaac's USC visit isn't very impressive.
