any new info on ty Isaac

I respectfully disagree steve. He has been to California twice since he last visited Michigan in March.

I think it is USC and very soon.

Are you picking USC because he went there back to back? He's been to usc twice since visiting UM because he has been to UM 5+ times.

He has not been to Michigan 5 plus times. To the best of my knowledge, he has been there twice.

Wrong. He has been on our campus since the 2011 season

Maybe I missed a 2011 visit, but I am 99% sure it is no more than 3 times total.

247 shows two visits to Michigan, two to ND, and two to USC dating back to Sept 2011.

I remember three visits IIRC. No way he's been here more than 5

but 247 can only report what is made known to them. Perhaps 5+ was an overestimate but Tomvh has been tracking his recruitment and he has visited more than twice. Regardless number of visits and proximity of those visits shouldn't be used as the barometer of where he is leaning

Ty Isaac is done taking visits. He wasn't sure about that report saying he was looking to visit elsewhere. He's not moving towards decision mode. I still like Michigan. USC is the competition. I think ND is third.

    Steve,

Constantly changing info on this. He's visiting Michigan then he's not. He's visiting ND and now apparently not. It's sounds like there is just a lot of 'misinformation' out there? I didn't check the source on the ND visit. Anybody else?

If there are no more visits I bet he must have it down to at least two finalists and maybe even one. He just doesn't want the media attention.

True, it was quoted in an interview.

  • I think if he was going to commit to USC, then he would have done it on that last visit. The longer he waits the better it is for UM.

Isn't Justin Davis expected to pick USC in three days? He's ranked just as high as Ty on Scout.

USC people think that picking up Davis will only help their chances with Isaac

Disagree. If Ty was leaning towards USC, and he knows Davis is picking in a few days, why not beat him to the punch? I suspect Ty is waiting to see where Davis picks. If Davis picks USC, he may not want the competition. We could know soon on where Ty is headed.

Ty and Davis supposedly bonded. Ty doesn't seem like the type that is scared of competition either.

I think one theory by USC fans is Isaac is waiting to announce his commitment to USC after Davis so that Davis isn't impacted by Isaac's decision.

I think it is wise to be a bit skeptical of what other commitments think. They are by nature going to be very optimistic on other kids.

  • panic very hard to get a read on this kid. I've counted him as UM/USC for months now. Unfortunate we run a spread attack. He tweeted something today I found interesting. Said his dad was on the phone with Bo Jackson.

This makes no sense. If Davis can be influenced by Ty's decision, ... why should Ty wait? Regardless of when Ty announces, USC fans seem to feel Davis will be adversely affected. Two top backs fighting for time in one system? Sure ... competition will keep them motivated. However, you could also see them split the load, with a pass-heavy offense to boot. Again, I would personally rather star in an offense designed for the run first - aka Michigan.

He may very well be. How has our recruitment been for RBs in 2014? Have we seen heavy recruiting this early in the process? Could be a marker ....confused
