Considering that Michigan has 3 DL coaches, it's weird that that's the position to fill up last. Or maybe it's not.

It's probably because they are very selective with offers and those really only go out to those elite players who want to take longer to decide.

This is a good point. Also, I'm sure it's not intentional, but it seems like most of the defensive linemen that are high on Michigan's board are from relatively far away, so it's not easy for them to take multiple visits to campus. That can sometimes slow down a recruit's process in itself.

I wouldn't have the master judging ability to say, but the article said 3 tech so I'll assume that's what the coaches are recruiting him for.

What are everyone's thoughts on the DT's we are in on? Here are my subjective rankings
1. Vanderdoes - beast, by far my favorite on the board
2. Montravious Adams - beast, but he's not leaving the south
3. Poggi - great athlete, very disruptive
4. Webb - prolly best fit at 3-tech but could play the 1 (like M. Martin)
5. Latham - another versatile guy, his height worries me a bit
6. Crayton - pure 1-tech, but foot issue and lack of quickness worry me

Solid list but I'd have Webb above Poggi.

That's a great 6 to be in on....All of them are 4* category, so no need to be petulant and lets call it a day by taking any 2..... all would provide depth and talent and be a continuation of making this class even better.

Who would be a backup DT not mentioned above if we only get Poggi or Webb, besides Gibbs from CT or the prospect featured yesterday?

I could be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that we were looking at him more as an OL and that's why we've slipped with him.
