    I'm in as ktlthrashers. Duke, Arizona, Miami, and Florida Final 4. Duke over Florida for the title.

    I have Ole Miss making a run to the elight 8

    Michigan losing to VCU (sorry I have lost all faith in this team and Belein is awful in the tourney)

    Ole Miss will not beat Wisconsin. I've posted in other threads, but for those who didn't see it, I was at the Michigan-Utah game in Salt Lake City before Marshall Henderson transferred to Ole Miss. The kid was a dick then, taunting Michigan players, taunting fans, and chucking up ugly shots that somehow managed to go in. He's the exact same player now. Wisconsin is going to play their slow, methodical defense and put a body on him the whole game. I wouldn't be shocked if he got kicked out for punching somebody by the end of the first half, which will ultimately end Ole Miss's chances.

    With their draw if they don't make it to the final 4 then Matta should be DQ'd for next season lol

    For as long as he has been coaching he has only made it to Elite 8 once.

    Take away the bitter taste of the finish this season and consider this:
    When has Beilein ever had a conference POY and contender of National POY?
    When has he had 3 likely nba draft picks? (If you believe mock draft experts)
    When has he ever competed in a league as tough as this years B1H and come within a whisker of winning the title?

    Vcu is 1-3 in their last 4 road games; IU finished 3-3 - and damn near 2-4, and MSU closed with a 3-3 record yet nobody is poo-pooing their chances in the tourney.

    We're going to hear nothing but negativity from everyone over he next week. I'm going take the other point of view and remain optimistic.

    I still have them beating Wisconsin, don't have them in the E8 anymore though.

    Indiana- Elite 8
    Ohio St- Final 4
    Michigan - Second round
    MSU- Sweet Sixteen
    Illinois- Second Round
    Wisconsin - First Round
    Minnesota - Second Round

    That's fine. And I think everyone knows where you stand. I just don't think you need to keep beating that dead horse. If we bow out early, it'll be a race between you and Sparty to be the first to tell us Beilein sucks.

    - I have us losing to Kansas in the sweet 16.
    - I've also got Minnesota in the sweet 16. (I think they beat UCLA and then Florida)
    - I've got Wisconsin beating Gonzaga in the sweet 16. (and Ohio in the Elite 8.
    - Finally, I've got Indiana beating Duke in the final.

    As for the VCU debate .. I'm not entirely sure why everyone has us going down to them. They've got multiple presses. Yea.. I get that .. but one fact some of you guys are forgetting is that we have multiple ball handlers on the court at the same time.. at all times. It's not just Trey (although he can be a press breaker on his own at times) .. Nik, Timmy, and GR3 can handle the ball well enough to get us across half court with ease.
    We also have a LOT more talent that VCU .. although I'll be the first to admit that talent doesn't always reign supreme. I dont know .. I just cant see a way for us to lose that game.

    This isn't the same VCU team that has made tourney runs in past years .. In the games i have seen they don't guard the 3 pt line well and have trouble with up tempo teams with good point guards

    Dude! I literally feel the same way. They don't have the athleticism on the wings that would enable them to get out to the 3pt line to guard us all game long.

    Obviously .. a lot can go wrong and we can easily lose this game. We could be cold as hell. We can make boneheaded mistakes. Tons of things can go wrong .. but if i were a betting man .. I'm putting my money on Michigan.

    I'm just saying you have to look at Beilein's entire career if you want to label him as a bad tourney coach. When you win at least a game in the majority of your tourney performances, I just think it's hard to argue you're a bad tourney coach, especially when your teams aren't coming in as #1 or #2 seeds on a yearly basis. Expectations for this year are at least a win or two, but if Michigan went down to Kansas in the 3rd game, would that make Beilein a bad tourney coach? I certainly don't think so.

  • That is really cool. I had so many upsets when I figured out which team was which. I had Saint Louis in the final four with Gonzaga, Florida, and Indiana. Had a lot of other surprises too. Bucknell beating Butler, Davidson in the sweet 16, Montana beating Syracuse, Belmont beating Zona, some others too.
