    Michigan losing to VCU (sorry I have lost all faith in this team and Belein is awful in the tourney)

    EDIT: Just switched my Final 4 to include Ohio St. and Kansas. Didn't realize how easy OSU had it. Miami winning it all. I wonder how many more times I will change it by thursday lol

    I have Michigan losing to VCU as well. VCU has great defense and I don't expect Michigan to be able to play well.

  • I have VCU beating us as well. Their havoc defense sets up when they score and we don't seem all that interested in defense lately. Also if you think our freshmen wilted in big road games that havoc defense will give them nightmares as they have never seen anything like it.

    TBH I have VCU beating Kansas as well but losing to Georgetown. Granted the Georgetown VCU hypothetical matchup in my mind would be like 40-30 final score bc all defense haha.

    What makes you say Beilein is terrible in the tourney? He's certainly no Coach K, but in his 7 trips to the NCAA Tournament as a coach, he's only failed to win a game in 2 of those attempts. Granted, he has never been to the Final Four, but I would be willing to bet that his numbers stack up pretty well against most coaches.

  • I will not be participating. I stopped filling out brackets about 5-6 years ago when I moved to Vegas. There is no comparison to filling out a bracket to placing multiple parlays and bets on the opening weekend of the tourney. I actually preferred sweet 16 weekend because it wasn't as chaotic, its was easier to hedge bets at halftime because there was less going on, and you get a better feel for how the teams are performing.

    For as long as he has been coaching he has only made it to Elite 8 once.

    He also has never really been expected to go that deep. It's one thing if you come in as a #1 seed and get upset, but when you are a #8 or a #10, you're not a horrible tourney coach for not going to the Final Four. Bo Ryan's only made the Elite Eight once and this is his 11th year at Wisconsin. If Beilein is here that long and can't get a deep tourney run, then we probably can say he's not that good in the tourney, but when you win at least a game the majority of time you go there, it's hard to say that he's a horrible tourney coach.

    So if we fail to make it out of the first weekend once again you will not be upset? He is in year 6 here at Michigan. Just making the tourney isn't good enough anymore.
