First of all, I think its awesome a thread can go 60+ pages, lol.
I guess its only natural for Buckeye fans to embrace their current coaches strategy but I would prefer Hoke's strategy even if I weren't a U of M fan. I believe it all starts (or ends quickly) at the line. Whoever controls the line controls the game. I have to give Meyer props on d-line recruiting but when it comes to the o-line he has settled for a handful of in-state four stars backed up by a bunch of three stars and converts from the d-line (hence the title scraps). People who think you can just plug any extra body into a line spot are in for a rude awakening. There's a big difference between an okay line and a really good one.

Honestly, the team that's won 3 of the last 4 national championships has proven that you can win a NC with a monstrous offensive line and power running game, a beastly defense, and a game manager QB who can take advantage of play-action shots downfield and can make some throws when called upon to do so. Hoke brought in the 2nd-best OL class in 2012 and the best OL class in 2013, the #1RB in the country and 2 other beasts at RB, we've got Mattison coordinating a D that was good even with RR recruits, and we've got two more years of Devin Gardner and undoubtedly more good QBs coming. I think we're in a pretty good place, and we're only getting better.

Will Meyer be left with scraps at OL?
