I'm not going to lie, I REALLY wanted Dorian Johnson (moreso than Dawson by far, as DJ is a great, versatile OTackle with a good mix of strength + speed--which are hard to come by, and work perfectly in the sort of Spread offense Urban runs).
That said, I don't know how much Michigan fans follow Ohio State, but I feel pretty good about our Offensive Line future. Based on two things: 1) We're short on recruits, but our entire starting OL (outside of Fragel) is coming back next year, so that buys us another year to clean up the ones we have and build through the 2014 class (we have a lot of feelers out there as well). 2) Ed Warinner has done an AMAZING job with the OL we have. Our OL was probably our weakness last year, they SUCKED. This year they have likely been our strength--that's entirely on Warinner imo.
A recruit like Dorian Johnson is going to Pitt in part because Chryst has a reputation for putting OL in the NFL. Ohio State has to rebuild a reputation for putting OL in the NFL before we start getting those OL recruits again.

While that may be true, OL is an area where you really don't want to take a year or so off. You want a constant flow of OL to have depth in case of injuries. Just look at Iowa's and MSU's offensive lines. They got hit with a couple injuries and have been held back because of it.
Wariner is a good coach, but getting more than 2 recruits will help with depth. I know you don't lose anyone next year, but what happens if there is a year they are all gone? You also never want to have to resort to playing true freshman offensive linemen.

I think you guys are confusing a better OL for Braxton Miller. BM makes your OL look better. We've been through the exact same thing with Forcier and Denard. Fewer sacks, more rushing yards, better 3rd down conversion %, higher ranked offense, etc, etc. It's not your OL. It's the spread offense with a very good athlete at the helm.

. Meyer doing work

I love Kurelic. I think he might be a UM fan in disguise. He always reports OSU is leading for every prospect they're in the mix for, and then when they commit somewhere else, all the OSU fans are let down.

Will Meyer be left with scraps at OL?
