    everyone was laughing when we moved reid fragel to tackle, but he has done great (especially against msu's gholston)...

    lb has been the only weakness on this team so far, and that area has accounted for most of the yardage and points given up..

    with the spread at osu, we dont need an "alabama line", urbie is recruiting dline talent and playmakers with some good o line to mix in...

    No, there have not been any good OL. Lisle is garbage, terrible feet and technique. Decker is nothing special, will probably have a Elliot Mealer-esqe career. Dodson is average, but needs a lot of coaching. I don't feel the others are even worth mentioning.

    Gholston made a couple plays last year because of the attention payed to worthy. The kid hasn't even started every game this year because they wanted more production. So let's use William Gholston as the measuring stick to relate how good he is. I think he has one sack and 3 tackles this year for gods sake

    we hear the same old same old every yr and every yr (save last) we win 10-12 games...

    heck, troy smith was a nobody until he got his shot, and we all know how that turned out!

    1) Lisle has some of the worst technique I've seen, I would be extremely surprised if he ended up being a solid player

    2) Nobody was giving Shane the Heisman, he has all the tools, but he needs a few years to develop before we can even think about passing judgement.

    3) Jim Tressel recruited some very good OL and was great at coaching them up. Meyer and his staff have not recruited OL well and hasn't proved anything in terms of coaching.

    4) Troy Smith was a 4* QB coming out of high school, per Rivals. Not exactly a nobody.

    3) tress recruited a COMPLETELY different style of o linemen compared to meyer (because of the spread)...mostly big, run blockers to fit his style (low scoring, defensive and field postion type games)

    4) troy was a 4 star, i will give you that, but definetly not a high profile qb like pryor, miller, morris etc...(expected to make an instant difference)

    Morris is still a better player currently than Lisle and could probably start and be mediocre next year, while Lisle would be dominated by even the worst DL.

    Why the hate? Because he sucks, yet Bucknuts loves him and he is vastly overrated by all the recruiting sites.

    I mean, just look at his film. He plays high, has terrible and slow footwork, not to mention that little hop thing he does when the ball is snapped, and takes him a few seconds for him to push the DE back on run plays, against bad HS players.

  • I don't know how tOSU will compete with Michigan....Michigan gets ALL the great players and tOSU gets all the leftovers.....tsk tsk...tOSU should just forfeit the last game of the year....

    If by any slim chance, if the stars all align and somehow tOSU gets all their prayers answered and they beat Michigan this year, what in the world will the Michigan fans say? It will really break them up as it will put an end to their long winning streak in "The Game".....

    Haha! Are you a coach? Bc our coaches and the BTN are basically blowing Decker. You NEVER know how a kid is going to translate from HS to College so ill sit back and see how things pan out. Opposed to labeling HS kids as "garbage"

    Do you think your coaches are going to say that Decker is bad? You usually can tell how they will play out, as long as they have a consistent work ethic. Every player has a ceiling, it's up to the coaches to help them reach that ceiling and their work ethic dictates whether they have the opportunity to reach it. I'm not saying the kids I listed don't have the work ethic, but I don't see a high ceiling for any of them.

    Dodson is the only one I could see become a solid contributor.

    Yeah, JT and Bollman were KNOWN for coaching and pumping out great lineman. Wow! And the things Warriner has done with this Oline are astronomical from how Bollman left them. It's been very well documented by the media and Meyer himself. Clueless apparently when it comes to tOSU you are
