Will Meyer be left with scraps at OL?

  • You guys hold so much stock into OL class but we have you out manned with our defensive line. You have no one who is ranked higher or that can match up with adolph washington, noah spence, or joey bosa. Those dudes are just more physically dominant than anyone you have on the OL in either class.

    You keep telling yourselves that. We saw in the BCSCG what happens to a team with a great defense but no offense. We saw it again on Saturday night when ND virtually shut out MSU due to the Spartan's poor OL play. Braxton Miller can run around all he wants against lower competition, but to compete at the top you need to be fundamentally solid on both sides of the ball. And you can't do that with a bunch of MAC level talent for an OL.

    obviously you need to be strong on both sides of the ball to be competitive, im just saying that the strength of our team is on D line and it is more physically dominant than the strength of your team. Why is the SEC better than the rest of the country right now, ask any college football analyst, its because they a more dominant DL. Thats exactly what were building with the guys were getting.

    Alabama's OL would like a word with you.

    The fact that you're losing a recruiting battle to Pitt is all that needs to be said.

    Wait, we have no one who is ranked higher? So rankings really do determine skill on the field? Man, Shane Morris is just unquestionably better than anyone in OSU's 2013 recruiting class then, including Jalin Marshall!

    Also, if you honestly think our 2012 + 2013 OL classes can't match up with your D-Line, you must be smoking something. We brought in the 2nd-best OL class in the country last year (behind only Stanford) and we have the best in the country this year. You know how Alabama's OL is just steamrolling people this year? Welcome to your 2015-16.

    Based on the performance of their defense, it looks like they ended up with scraps at DC too.

    Orlando Pace's physical dominance did wonders for Ohio against Michigan.

    Your amazing OL class has all gotten exposed when matched up on the edge with quality speed rushers, they are all very good but none turned out to be tackles that every one needs. Even Kali's got moved inside. That's what I mean when I say a guy like Noah spence is better than anyone you have, he's just quicker. Guys like Michael hill, tommy schutt, and billy price match up with your OL. Spence, Adolph wash, and bosa are just on a different level

  • I love that some of The best recruits Ohio gets are guys that were committed to PSU. They could have picked Ohio but didn't. Sure they are on your team but it must suck knowing that Ohio was there 2nd or third pick. Johnson picked PSU over you during there scandal and is now trying his hardest to find any other school besides Ohio. He might pick Pitt? Hahahaha man u guys suck!

    You have 1 true OT in this class alone.... And he honesty looked chubby and out of place at the Columbus nftc. I'm speaking of the one and only osu letter burner #BringAGun

    Well i am so glad that LTT burning a letter has so gotten under your skin. Now lets look at some other facts. Michigan has 2 true OT's in the last class who are both redshirting. So they will be here another 4 years. Chris Fox, Bosch and Kalis can all play Tackle.

    So you are basing your entire argument on one OL at one event? Sounds so reasonable.

    Nobody in their right mind would choose the OSU OL class over Michigan's. No one. And even my rational Buckeye friends admit this.

    Of course, we do have one big ace in the hole when it comes to your DL. Fickell/Withers/Vrabel will be coaching them.

  • Kalis was your best one and he struggled on edge in the all star game last year while Noah spence was getting three sacks.

    Hill = yawn
    Schutt = scraps
    Price = overrated
    Spence = has all the potential but takes to many plays off
    Adolphus = Stud
    Bosa = Semi Stud

    I will definitly take our last 2 oline classes over your last 2 dline classes.

    Well Magnuson was considered the best OT prospect and Kalis is more likely going to be a guard so I don't see this as a problem.
