Well that's a flame.
So congrats. Bo is the greatest coach of my lifetime, and I sat in awe and watched us win the championship in basketball, and jumped up and down. And then like most real fans at the time, would have climbed the ladder to pull the banners down from the Webber years. That's it. So what's the question.??MichaelHardenII

I'm not disputing what you are saying, but the national media is the driving force of that.
The national media talks more about the Fab 5 and Bo more than they talk about other Michigan related topics. Those two items are "sexier" than the others.

Michigan doesn't embrace either one more than the other. Bo will always be talked about because he's the father of the modern era of Michigan football. He won or shared 13 Big Ten titles as coach.
The Fab Five, for all the misery they brought in their aftermath will always be remembered for their cultural impact. It's not just Michigan, it's everyone. I bet most msu fans can name all of the Fab Five, but can't name msu's starting 5 during that time.

Why do UM fans embrace Fab5/Bo more then Rice/Mills/Carr?
