  • Clint or Steve, who do you believe has the higher ceiling between James Crawford and Reon Dawson?

  • Reon Dawson. Judging off his frame, forty time, and film I think Dawson could be a hell of a player with some time in the weight room and a year or two of coaching. I also think Crawford will be a good player at the next level.

Thanks Clint, I guess my question on that is that it seems Crawford has the size, built, positioning, physicality. All I see he lacks is speed, would that that be wrong analysis?

I think he has good speed but just doesn't play fast all the time. He looks hesitant at times. But other than that, I think your analysis is right on.

There's definitely some expected attrition (Ricardo Miller announced he was leaving the program after the season, Taylor Lewan is probably going pro, some 5th-years won't get scholarships). However, we had 6 EEs, and we backdated 3 of them to 2012, so we're effectively only at 21 (rather than 24) for the 2013 class. As a result, we still have 4 more spots for 2013 recruits before we hit the B1G cap of 25.

Good post. More times than not, there's attrition after spring practice.
