Which 2013 commitment has the highest ceiling?

  • Offense: Pat Kugler (Could be the next Alex Mack)

Defense: Maurice Hurst Jr (Very quick and a very good athlete for a kid his size. If he can refine his technique and learn to play lower, look out...)

Good call on Kugler. In an ideal world, he'll just be the latest in Michigan's string of Rimington-winning centers. Pity his name isn't David, gotta continue the Baas and Molk trend.

The only worry I would have with DG is his weight, but the fact that he got down to where he is now from where he was at the start of his junior year is impressive. For those of you who don't know, he ballooned to 270-ish, and his coaches gave him an ultimatum to lose weight or not play football at Hermitage. I was impressed with his work ethic though, he got all the way back down to a chiseled 220, so I'm not too worried about the weight, he's proven that he has the desire and ability to keep it under control.

Did you account for the freshman 15 next year though??

Agree. I doubt any of our recruits put on 15 lbs of waddling fat the way a lot of us did as freshmen. If that were to occur then we'd be looking for a new strength and fitness coach.
