When considering an offer from Ohio(su), an SEC school

    lol RR's offense wasn't horrible. Struggled some against the better Big Ten defenses though. I expect Meyer will focus more on the defense than RR did though. That is where RR really failed at Michigan.

    Are you serious, butte? I've never had a problem posting over here until you say that, there's no reason to call someone out because they're in their 20's. Call it being brainwashed if you want but the university thrived because of the direction the football program was in under tressel. The overall gpa of both the team and incoming freshman students increased as did number of applicants because the university received more funding than ever from donors. No income sports grew and our tennis program and rowing program won championships with that funding.

    This probably all sounds so typical coming from a bucknut, but this is what I believe. You obviously see a side different than I that you believe is true, and that's what naked an argument. There's no reason to show disrespect because I have a belief different than yours.

    It is what it is. You know nothing other than the Tressel era. You've got to believe all that nonsense otherwise you have to face the reality that your childhood conception of ohio state, its football team, and Tressel are complete fallacies. Why should we believe anything you have to say when you have the most to lose? Do you really think the educated Michigan fans that frequent this board want to read that regurgitated bucknut nonsense? Of course not, it's insulting.

  • It isn't really bucknut nonsense as much as it is columbus "nonsense." You are right that this is my only understanding of Ohio State football but that doesn't mean it is not my own critical thought as well. It's not like I didn't listen or read other reports, but I read the transcript of the interview with the ncaa as well and this is what I believe. I do believe that the issue didn't lay just with tressel but with athletics admin, because tressel reported everything, and I would rather you question the suits who run athletics rather than tressel.

    I'm an osu student currently and I take offense that you would call your education better than mine while we don't know each others specialization (and I believe it is you who is a um student). regardless, you do not have to insult my education (clearly I'm insulted)

    1. Tressel didn't report everything, he lied and covered it up to "protect" the players.
    2. He didn't diss the education you receive at osu. He is saying that you coming on here and defending tressel is an insult to our intelligence.

    And? Ohio talent has probably always been better than Michigan talent and yet we still have the most wins of all time and have beaten Ohio State a lot more times than they have beaten us.

    And plus, our greatest coach ever (I'll give you a hint, it isn't Bo) is from West Virginia.

    Being that I'm a former AAA hockey payer and waxed Cleveland and Columbus growing up multiple times every year (5-1 average) I'm far from offended. Keep trying though. And get a map, I'm not from Detroit, good try guy.
