  • Michigan has to recruit different then USC. USC is the king of the west coast. That makes it easier for them. Local kids want to stay close to home and I can't blame them. Michigan has to fight with 20 other school's in the midwest, east coast and south for top talent. Recruiting more nationally would be great but the goal is to win National Championships. To me I don't care if you do that with national recruits or local recruits. Winning is winning

completely agree, love getting top national kids but when we have comparable talent close to home i would actually slightly prefer those kids, they know the B1G, how football is played here and they know firsthand about our big time rivalries and why they're so important. In the end tho a great player is a great player no matter where they come from.

Give me 85 guys that want to play Michigan football. And get a great education.

-Why shouldn't the media be biased? Ostensibly, empirically and objectively, the SEC has dominated the past 6 years by winning every national championship, they are currently the best conference, and you cant spin it any other way! -There are enough recruits to go around for 1 program in the SEC to out-recruit us

Not sure where I was spinning it any other way. The whole point of my post was that other conferences need to step up and stop the SEC from winning year after year. Until that happens, the media will continue to do what they are doing and make it harder to get the talented kids in SEC territory away from the SEC.

The media is a problem. Anytime ESPN lets guys Meyer and Chris Spielman call Michigan game's it hurts recruiting. Spielman strongly dislike's Michigan and he does not hide that when he calls games.JMO

When the media downplays the Big Ten it hurts as well.

Absolutely, the resurgence of Michigan and ohio should help but were gona need atleast 3-4 other B1G teams to do well year in and year out to change the mindset

Your right. ESPN is all about the SEC and Pac 12.right now. They are still at 12 teams right?LOL

  • PSU is not helping either.

I don't understand what's so great about the Pac 12. All the teams are meh except Oregon, Stanford, and USC. There's also no guarantee that Stanford can keep their success post Andrew Luck.

ESPN love's USC because they are in L.A. and don't have to travel to cover them.

  • I feel like they will have a very strong rushing attack and go belly up in the passing game. Look for them to be around 7-5

that seems like a pretty accurate assesment, the OL should be good so they should definetly be able to run the ball but they really don't have much WR talent and idk who the starting qb is

You werent spinning, and the point of your post is that you were complaining about the over-exposure the SEC gets because they constantly win...well too bad. You are correct other teams need to step up and end the streak, but I think the pro-obama media exposure is far worse then any gratitude the SEC receives.

I don't know about that. All I hear on Sirius XM is the greatness of the SEC (Suck East Conference) and how they should be the 3rd NFL Division. The SEC is arrogance at the extreme. I cannot wait for the SEC fall, because it will hit hard and hurt bad. Then I will Laugh my Ass Off I will have to be off my feet. WOW!
The winning has not bothers me, it is the unrelenting and undeserved arrogance that makes me sick! cheers biggrin goblue cheers
