What's your favorite Big House memory?

  • If you've been to a game at the Big House, what's your favorite memory? If you haven't, what's your favorite Big House memory that you've seen on TV?

  • Was at both the night game last year and "the game" last year but I'd say tge latter cause i took my parents and two of osu friends. To see them in anger after our win was priceless especially when the 6 yr old girl hit one of em in the face with a maize pompon

  • The ND game was unreal, one of the best comebacks ever in Michigan Stadium and it just happened to be the 1st night game ever in that stadium. The atmomsphere was just one of the best I've ever seen for a college football game.

  • 1991...Grbac to Desmond...I was sitting maybe 20 yards away. I am not sure any game since has measured up. I wasn't at the ND game last year though :-)

    Nice! I'm jelly of that.

Wasn't there but UTL game last year. I was at a fish fry in bfe oky and my phone was being slow with updates. I was drunk so when we took the lead I thought it was sealed, it obviously wasn't, and when my phone finally showed the final my boss was 20 yards away and aware of the outcome [Huskers fan] and when he saw me jumping he came over, gave me a beer and said what a finish.

  • "The Braylon Game."

The only game I could make it to that season (2004) was the home game against MSU. My dad and I went and had a blast tailgating, even though the weather wasn't great. We sat there the whole game getting phone calls from my cousins and uncle (MSU grads) because it was clearly a one-sided game. We never thought about leaving, but the game was pretty miserable.... until... my dad says to me, with about 8 minutes left in the game, "OK, one last chance, switch seats with me. Maybe it will bring some good luck." The craziest 8-minutes of game time I have ever been a part of ensued and then multiple overtimes. I don't think I could talk for 2 weeks after that game.

The '97 Rose Bowl was incredible (as was the OSU game that year), but those were great games by a great team, compared to a Legendary comeback.

  • I'm going to deadhorse

But UTL was bar none the best sporting event i've ever attended. Growing up I went to all of the Yankees home playoff games in the late 90's/00's, but none of those hold a candle to the night game. The only negative nancy thing I will say is that I'm not sure I will ever experience such a clash of hype-pregame-gameplay-drama-postgame again in my life. It was too good to be true, and then some. I feel extremely fortunate to be an undergrad during this era of Michigan athletics.

  • Braylon Fest! That game was unreal! We just kept making play after play after play to come back from being down 17 to win in triple OT.

That game was unreal too. I was in Grand Rapids for a 2 game series against a hockey team and the first game was in the morning the second at like 9 or so that night. The footfall game started and we were at a restaurant and it was close 14-7 sparty I believe and then we ended up at Dick's where it got ugly so I went and messed around fir a bit, but viridity got to me so with 7 1/2 minutes left I started watching again and was hoping for a miracle. Michigan obviously tied the game and I watched what I thought was the game losing field goal fall just short. We drive to the rink and listened to the first OT in the car. I missed the 2nd OT but got updates then I got half suited-up came out to the lobby to watch the 3OT and wow that finish was incredible.

  • At the game, tOSU game last year.

Watching TV, the 2004 MSU game. I was sitting between 2 MSU fans who were talking crap all game, and then Braylon took over. These fans were my brother in laws and my sisters were in the other room all game scrapbooking. They told my wife that they felt bad for me with how bad my BILs were on me, up until Braylon. lol

The UTL game came close. I went over to my dad's house to watch it. He went to bed in the 3rd quarter, I stayed to the end. I wanted to yell and scream at the TV but couldn't. I cracked open his door as I left and told him they won and the score. He woke up the next morning and caught the replay. He told me he kept thinking, my son lied, why would he lie to me, with 3 TDs having to be scored with less than 2 minutes to play.

Another heart breaker for me, in Grand Rapids again, hmmm too common of a there considering I've been there 6 times and the last play of the game we had just arrived at the hotel after a hockey game so I had to hear it on the radio but it was an awesome moment. Weird thing about that game was until the 4th quarter it was like 3-3 then it really opened up in the 4th.

  • I believe it was my freshman year, student section and in came big bad Miami (YTM). Seemed we were going back and forth and built a lead by half! I remember being exhausted by the action...they then rallied back to win but what a game!! Watched Desmonds Heisman yr in person. Was in person for both Desmond and Charles' punt return vs OSU. Saw them lose last second to kordell stewart and Colorado. Saw Sparty trip desmond in the endzone. Watch Dre Stanton get crushed by woodley which led to Braylons heroics. I ACTUALLY LEFT THAT GAME EARLY CUZ MY GF WAS COLD!!! Went to my car, saw it was towed went to bail it out and by the time I got Home....Braylon was winng in 2 OT

  • I was at 97 OSU, MSU 3 OT and UTL. Hard to say which was better. MNC Rosebowl also so you can throw that one into the mix.

  • I actually feel very blessed about my time at Michigan as a student. Saw Bo's final season, Desmond Howards season. Glen Rice win a Natty and caught the first year of the Fab 5. Our hockey was kicking butt too and there stil were 30 keg parties!

  • Anyone in attendance for the 2002 game vs. Washington? I grew up in FL and remember watching that game on television. Back and forth the entire way; that last drive which set up the GW FG was heart-stopping! And of course Henne to Manningham vs. PSU, 2005. I remember running around my living room literally screaming aloud in euphoria for minutes!

"We're here to preserve democracy, not practice it." Go Army! Go Blue!

  • 97 OSU game was the most emotionally exillherating game I was at. My dad flew in from California to go with me. Great memory

UTL and OSU were incredible atmospheres

And the 04 Braylon-fest still warms my heart after listening to all the mouthy Sparty fans in the stadium talking shit all day long. When State scored mid-way thru the 4th to take a commanding lead, this fat a** Sparty stood in the aisle and pointed to all the Michigan fans as he sang their fight song. All game long, this tub of goo ran his mouth and was a completely disrespectful "guest.".

Needless to say, I took great satisfaction when he had to walk out in shame as we celebrated the greatest SpartyNoooooooooo moment in history.

MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13

That is an easy one for me!!! This is the only time I was in the Big House. 2009 Ohio State vs Michigan. What a great game, great weather and a great outcome. I remember the stadium was almost half scarlet and grey. OSU wins and goes on to the Rose Bowl.

The only negative were some of the fans. I remember walking through the golf course to get to the game and some fans said very nasty things to me (almost made my cry). Then in the stadium, we sat next to some old man that would not shut up (kept saying Suckeyes......hope he can do better than that). I did meet some great people and tilted a few back with some Michigan fans in the stadium. Other than a couple of poopy pants, not too bad.

Just wondering..how are your fans treated here at OSU?

Well, as you know you will get biased opinions here. On tBB, Texas and USCw fans said that tOSU fans at tShoe were the worst they ever encountered.

Ive heard there sure can be some butt wipes...... especially walking into the Shoe. I do know that once inside, most people are pretty decent and friendly I can remember sitting next to some Iowa fans, Penn Staters and Wisconsin Fans. They all said that it isn't too bad, just get some heckling walking to the game...but never felt any danger. I would highly recommend coming for a game, traditions are pretty cool. I think this would be a good year to make it!!!
