Nobody had heard from Gedeon much. He didn't talk before and had shut things down in the media for the last month or longer. That is why I said that nobody outside of the coaching staff can say that Ohio wanted a bunch of other linebackers over him. As far as the actual count of the offers that Urban has out is unknown. Even you guys claim that there are a bunch of offers left over from before Urban came and those are not real offers. This is info directly from bucknuts. Urban has been selective relative to the amount of talent in the home state. I wasn't shooting you down but some of the stuff you had heard was false so I pointed it out.

This makes no sense to me. Are you saying that Urban Meyer didn't recruit at a "national" level at FL? Or are you saying that OSU didn't try and recruit at a "national" level before Meyer's hiring? I'm fairly certain I realize that Urban Meyer is trying to recruit out of state players. Are you suggesting that he is hoping to lure Hoke into taking EVERY player in Ohio, like a waving a red flag at a bull? Please. I'm not gonna get into an Urban bashing fest on this thread but it might be worth remembering Meyer's own comments on ESPN regarding Hoke snagging Mattison away from the Ravens, Meyer (who it might be added has some pretty decent first hand knowledge on this subject) called Mattison and this is a verbatim quote: "the best recruiter in college football".

Steve Wiltfong said in definite terms that as recently as two weeks ago Meyer was recruiting him as hard as anyone. He also said any notion that OSU offered him an uncommittable offer or slow-played him is downright false. And for whatever reason it was, our coaching staff made a decision Gedeon > Anzalone, Shane Jones, O'Daniel, and also Love. Who knows? Anzalone may turn out to be a better player than Gedeon. But we don't know that. Nobody knows that at this point. But we do know Michigan's coaching staff, who knows a thing or two about defense, made a decision to turn away Anzalone because Gedeon. Also we know OSU's coaches pursued Gedeon hard. And you come here throwing around all that Bucknuts' writers'("analysts") expertise? I'm surprised others here treated you with respect, because don't see how you deserved it.
