I don't think it sounds bad, I think it's pretty true. It's just one more thing recruits say that shouldn't be taken seriously along with: everything else they say.

Recruits mostly seem to do what their parents and coaches tell them to do in interviews, that's why they mostly sound the same. I can imagine the things my parents would say to me before an interview are the exact same things I hear repeated in every recruiting interview:

"Be polite, say yes sir, no sir, tell them you are grateful for all the schools interested in you and that you want to give teams a fair shot, tell them you know football won't last forever and that you want a good education, you want to play for coaches that care about you as a person, blah blah blah".

Not that recruits don't care about that stuff, but it isn't the top of their list. The one that makes me laugh are the kids that talk about engineering and med school and business school like it's no big deal. For every DaShawn Hand and Myron Rolle that really look into it, there are thousands of guys that are just dumb teenagers (nothing against them, I was too) that don't know what they're talking about. Even then, the Myron Rolles that really do care about academics can end up at places like FSU over the Stanfords, Notre Dames, and Michigans of the world anyway.

I guess my point is looking into interviews for clues is sort of useless, in my opinion. Actions say a lot more.

Yea that does sound bad and a bit ignorant. For one, define a good school? are you talking Harvard? UM or Virginia? Or schools like univ of colorado or osu? OSU is top 50 according to usnews, considering there are 2500 colleges and universities, that's top 2%. Not too shabby and kids get through their curriculum fine.

Second, I would think we would have a fairly high player ineligibility prevalence within college bball, football, etc if they couldn't get through curriculum within their respective school. I don't believe that prevalence is high at all. I think there are some dangerous insinuations, associations, and assumptions made in that statement.

I think Scott is rethinking his UM visit.

I heard a rumor that Jalen Embry is visiting this weekend. Is that true.

I figured UM was waiting to see what happens with some other guys. I just wanted to see if there is a plan on whom will get offers if things don't work out with some other guys. Thanks.

I kind of get the feeling he is all blue til it's clear UM is full at CB or til he gets his offer. One or the other.
