Urban Meyer-Cooper or Tressel?

  • Bringing arguably the best team in the B1G into THE GAME. I want all OSU lurkers to tell me, what are ur possible excuses for losing. Can we get these listed now so I don't have to laugh at ur excuses after, when they will sound like sour grapes.

Would love for Brian Griese and Spielman to call the game!

No excuses as we are not going to lose.

  • i dont believe we have had a decent first quarter yet. notoriously slow starts. this could really hurt next week. also i question the health of some players after this week but i dont think that will be an issue unless people get hurt next week. i know fitz is in the same boat too, although his injury was MUCH worse than any i saw in our game today
ill also add that the extra dimension that we got a preview to this week of garner and robinson has some scary implications. especially because i expect robinson to pass next week out of the RB position. that could be really dangerous at making our defense sell out and then get burned. i think that is my biggest worry

I actually see a lot of similarities between Tressel and Hoke. Urban isn't really like either one, but he's more like Cooper than Tressel, IMO.

I did. I honestly don't root for either team even when they're playing someone other than each other, so today was just more of the same.

I don't know how you do this. I could be watching 2 teams I have never heard of and by the middle of the first quarter I would be rooting for one of the teams.

lol, so true. I am rooting for someone no matter what. May not be invested emotionally, but I am rooting for someone.

Ditto. My wife is always amazed that I can find reasons to root for one team over another, no matter who it is.

This will be an interesting game. I could see either team winning.

It's a different dynamic when you actually know a bunch of players on each team. Makes it much easier to really not care who wins.

Thats a good point you bring up about the other options that these plays could consist of, including D Rob throwing the ball either down field, or back across the field for a double pass

I would assume you would root hard for each team when they are not playing each other. More wins can translate into more player, more interviews, ,more people signing up, more money for the sites....

Exactly I always root for one side or the other I don't even understand the logic or reasoning that goes into but I always end up pulling for one team over the other.

  • Poor tackling and no blitzing if we give up a lot of points. Poor play calling and Brax not being able to go thru his progression if the O struggles. twocents

We have heard these same complaints/excuses all year while winning. I doubt it changes win or lose.

  • If Michigan can make some key stops, which I suspect they will be able to do after watching Wisconsin completely stuff them, Michigan will win with ease. With Devin and Denard both in the game, OSU will not be able to stop Michigan's offense.

I really don't. There are players I'm close with that play for Michigan, Iowa, Michigan State, Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue, and so on. I'm always wishing the best for all of them.

It can actually go the other way, too. Sometimes it's better for business when things aren't going as well, as people are more passionate and more likely to discuss/debate. So from a business standpoint, I don't think there's really one preferable outcome.
