Rumor is Mags may drop a bit, which is surprising because I thought he looked pretty good. RJS may drop because of size issues.

Pipkins got moved up 5 DT spots, but still no 5 star. Schutt is ahead of him even though he pretty much got worked at the All-American game

5*: Kalis (35th)
4*: Pipkins (65), Bolden (69), Magnuson (82), Ross (83), Strobel (93), RJS (111), Ojemudia (162), Wormley (164), TRich (183), Darboh (205), Funchess (221), AJ Williams (225, listed as an OT), Jarrod Wilson (245)
Nobody else in the top-300.

Is this the final rankings? Do you know where the kids were ranked before the final rankings?
The question of how the kids moved up and down throughout the process is why I think 247 should implement it in their system.

There is no question in my mind that Pipkins is better prospect at this point than Schutt. There aren't a whole lot of people alive who are as big as Pee Wee and move as well as he does.

Pipkins is, at worst, the fourth best prospect in the entire Midwest. Nobody is better at DL evaluations than Hoke and Mattison, and they pursued Pipkins at the expense of all others. Schutt was ours for the taking. TWICE. And we turned him away. Twice.

I think they were leery of giving him that big of a bump. Whether it's right or not, most places are hesitant to sky rocket players up the list when it involves a fifth star. I think Pipkins is a better prospect than Schutt but the recruiting services just don't seem to agree. 247 is the only place that has PeeWee ranked as the better prospect. Hell, ESPN has Pipkins as a three star and the 47th best DT in the country... 35 spots behind Schutt.
Maybe there's something we're missing.

I would take DOB over Schutt, and neither are even on the same plane as Pipkins. And from what I read, Pipkins was awesome in practices AND the game. Simply doesn't make sense. But I could care less. Pipkins, on the other hand, seems to be taking it personal...and good. Maybe he will have a big chip on his broad shoulders.
