That was the rumor after Hurst visited.
While I think non-commitable offers are stupid, and frankly very insulting to the recruits, it might be the case here. At the time, I believe OSU had Sprinkle as a DL commit, and were waiting on guys like Bosa and one or two others.
That said...who cares? Hoke likes Hurst, and he's a very good prospect. Just because one school (rival or not) liked some other kids better doesn't mean he can't do extremely well at Michigan.

Like I said in another thread, I want most messageboard fans to do away with the guise of rationality they pretend to wear. It's nothing but an unattainable ideal.

Doubt it for Poggi at least, and probably Augusta too. I have to image we would take him regardless of numbers if he wanted to commit, and I image he would know that.
