UM continues to impress Peppers

Good thing for us Michigan has a top-tier music department.

Yes. I think we are a very good fit for Mr. Peppers.

Michigan's performing arts program is ..."consistently ranked among the top performing arts schools in the country when compared with performance-oriented conservatories or with prestigious academic departments of music."

    This plays well for us.

Great piece of information there. USC also has a lot to offer in that area, and that's another school he's very interested in. Definitely expecting Michigan to be a serious contender here, but it'll be a battle.

Do you guys think Peppers is better than Kendall Fuller?

I asked national analyst this question last year and they all said Peppers>>>Fuller. I agree with them. Peppers and Fournette are probably my favorite recruits for 2014. Would hate to see Peppers playing for you guys. I think it's going to be a UM/ND/Stanford battle here. Obviously you guys have got to be excited that he grew up a fan of UM. I'm hoping Elijah Shumate playing at ND is a big factor, plus potentially landing Alquedin Muhammad this year..

Music is a big deal for Peppers. I honestly don't know the answer to this when i ask this, so what kind of music program does ND have?

  • Didn't Peppers transfer from Don Bosco to Paramus shortly after signing day?

Peppers doesn't play at Don Bosco. I don't think he was there very long so that probably won't matter.

Those schools, plus USC and Miami, seem to be serious contenders right now, but it's still very early.

Drew Henson was probably the closest thing to a #1 overall prospect back then, as they did not have any of the recruiting sites yet. Peppers would come close, but at FS he doesn't have the potential impact a QB can have on a game, if you understand what I'm saying. Nevertheless, this is the type of recruit Michigan needs to pull in if we are talking about national championships and not just B1G championships.

As indicated earlier, Henson wasn't even the top-rated recruit in Michigan's class. Fargas was #1 or #2 overall at the time and David Terrell was generally listed higher and was the #1 WR with Marquis Walker being #2. Henson did commit early (like Shane) and got the ball rolling and was generally the #1 or more often #2 QB listed. Also, Walter Cross was a 4* type RB. Can you imagine landing the #1 or #2 guys nationally at QB, WR, WR, RB and getting another 4* RB? Oh, and they also got the #1 kicker in Hayden Epstein, plus Victor Hobson, Bennie Joppru, Cato June, Todd Howard, Cato June, Larry Foote and others in that class. It was amazing at the time. IMO one of the best offensive classes ever assembled, certainly at the skill positions.
