Drew Henson was probably the closest thing to a #1 overall prospect back then, as they did not have any of the recruiting sites yet. Peppers would come close, but at FS he doesn't have the potential impact a QB can have on a game, if you understand what I'm saying. Nevertheless, this is the type of recruit Michigan needs to pull in if we are talking about national championships and not just B1G championships.

Just in recent memory, Woodley was a top 15 recruit, Gabe Watson was top 10, Graham and Grady were both top 25, and Kelly Baraka was up there... maybe top 10. I can't remember. Chad Henne was top 25 too.
Both Henson and Walker were both top 10 and rated as the #1 players at their positions.

You think it's realistic he could grab the top spot? I admittedly don't follow recruiting as closely as most on this board. Is he that highly regarded?
