UM-Dearborn Changes Mascot Name

I had no idea they weren't also considered the Wolverines.

UM-Dearborn officially changes name from Wolves to Wolverines | The Michigan Journal

In Fall 2013, students at the University of Michigan-Dearborn will proudly be able to say “It’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine.”

I recall there being a big push to break away from the UM banner and just be University of Dearborn. I guess they came to their senses

I took a summer class there back in college, thought it was confusing seeing the wolves stuff instead of wolverines. I know people say its still a michigan education but having taken classes at both, there is no comparison. Dearborn was so much easier.

I took a summer math class there. I was working every day in Romulus, then driving up to Ann Arbor, then driving back to Dearborn for evening class. I slept so much, I felt compelled to tell the instructor my circumstances so he didn't think I was a slacker.
I got a frickin C.
MSU isn't a very good football program.. takes year of consistent winning to get to that level. - copemoney 1/22/13
