THIS would be a bad one if it's true, as bad as overpracticing from a sportsmanship perspective but certainly not equal in the NCAA realm with their pretend focus on students (but there are a number of variables that are just flat out unknown, can anyone refer me to the rules section of the BIG that mandates sending video?, 11w's seems to question it).
The AD is a bad one too and I dont know how Gene smith doesn't know better but it's the only one of those "46" that is noteworthy. Tresselgate was obviously terrible (but in the spirit of Civil Disobedience I blame tressel for lying, not the students who sold their own property like any other person would be allowed to do)
As for my "excuses," sorry if i was providing context to someone who thought Meyer personally committed 42 secondary violations when he got on campus, when in fact he was responsible for one. The rivalry is very serious to me, but I can't respect it if I can't take the fanbase seriously

First I'd like to say Urban is a highly polished terd. Some people here might not agree but I am glad he is at OSU. Meyer has all ready done a few things to piss off some other B1G coaches. I say good. Hopefully the other coaches get that the B1G is not going to be the gentleman's club it has become. Maybe the other coaches will strive to work harder in coaching and recruiting to put Urban in his place.
To not give the other team the whole film or a doctored up film is dirty. To have the coach from the dirtiest playing team in the B1G cry about someone else doing something dirty is laughable.

They had to use their time before the game to make up for lost time w/ the game film... it wasn't until after the game they finally had time to bitch about it. As much as I dislike sparty, something like this could set preparation back a day or even 2 which means a lot when you've only got 5 to prepare.

Yeah, putting Gholston back in was disgusting saying he got the wind knocked out of him.
If you're going for the lesser of 2 evils, that's a tough stance to be happy with. I just don't understand why such blatant acts would begin so quickly while the team is in the middle of a season that doesn't count.

Todd,
Read my first post. MSU, in all likelihood, had access to all of the game film well before the time that they claimed to have it from OSU. There are systems, such as one called "Dragonfly", that gives one school the ability to access and download any film from any school that also uses the same system.
Conferences typically have their schools utilize one specific system in order to ensure film can be distributed without issue. To my knowledge there are very few of these types of systems out there anyway.
Regardless, film can be sent from school to school in a variety of ways. MSU would have had four weeks to have access to OSU's first 3 games and break down the film from other schools. MSU saying they didn't have access to OSU's game film until Thursday is B.S.

Amazingly, I'm referring to film from the Miami (OH), UCF and Cal games. Film from the first three games of the season would have been available for four weeks prior to MSU facing off with the Buckeyes. Meaning they would have had three full weeks to have GA's break down the film, again standard procedure in CFB.
Todd, all of the opponents that the Buckeyes faced in the first four weeks would have their OWN film shot from their OWN cameras. Unless one of the teams OSU faced in the OOC was going to play MSU later on in the season, that team would have no reason to not share the film of their game vs. the Buckeyes.
My main point is that MSU is crying over a loss and that this (non)story is pathetic. MSU saying they didn't have FULL film of the OSU offense simply means that the Michigan State video coordinator DID NOT DO HIS JOB. Because film is always available, but sometimes (I know, I have done it) you have to jump through hoops (meaning go through 1, or sometimes 2 or more teams) to get it. It is the nature of the business.

I believe what the poster you were replying to meant was that, with the Cal game being played two weeks before the MSU game, MSU didn't have a full 3-4 weeks to track down all the film.
I completely agree with you that there are ways to access the film through other schools if necessary. The point is that it shouldn't have been necessary. Even if it only set MSU's preparation for OSU back by 3 hours (and, assuming the allegations are true, it was likely at least a day), that's still too much. It's the principle of the whole thing.
I really have no rooting interest here. I'm not a Michigan fan, an Ohio State fan, a Michigan State fan, etc. I'm just a fan of the game in general, and want to see things done the right way. If these allegations are true, then I think Ohio State deserves criticism for it.
