No he's not, I know what you're referring to, Sam never said he called to apologize, he said that he called and they talked about it being a misunderstanding.

Jason Sapp has always been solid, yes I do believe that. Sam pretty much always has great recruiting info but when he gets close to Beaver, they start acting like children. Still not sure why Webb even associates himself with Beaver.

I think that whole thing was just an overreaction by people. When you work in this business, all that matters is getting info to give to your subscribers, and the faster the better. When Stanford got OL commits last cycle all the Michigan fans were asking writers/analysts if it impacted Josh Garnett. So of course people are going to wonder if Deveon Smith impacted Ty Isaac's thoughts about Michigan. Because Sapp asked Ty about it doesn't mean he was trying to manipulate the situation in favor of ND..

They writers for teams are fans as well, if you don't think if they can get in a kids ear they will. Not saying that Jason Sapp does do it, but I do know of another former Scout guy that use to get in kids ears and try to work him to his team.

Agreed. There are very few guys who would do crap like this, and the guys who would probably live in SEC territory. Probably a miscommunication that was blown way out of proportion.
