Treadwell visiting USC?

  • If he does visit, it's probably because they're about to fill up at his position and this may be his only chance.

  • Doubt he actually goes to USC because they were supposed to only take two, but have extended it to 3 for a couple kids who want to commit. I wouldn't really worry about this like we did with Ty Isaac. With USC filling up, don't be surprised if Michigan becomes the leader for Paul Harris.

    In all honesty, I like Harris, but I don't like him taking a scholarship position. We already have two tall lanky receivers with average speed committed to this class. If Treadwell goes elsewhere, sellout on a slot or don't take a receiver.

    Honestly, I've felt this way for a while now. People always say we're the leader and in great position, but my gut feeling is that he's not going to end up here.

  • Treadwell is going to win the Anthony Zettell award for most annoying recruit. Last year's winner was Jordan Diamond.

    I think he means it as more of a frustrating aspect rather than actually annoying. He visits Michigan a bunch of times, favors them from the beginning of the process, to about a month before the end and spurs Michigan for another school.

    no i get it, and i understand the frustration completely. But on another board many things that were said on a thread were brought up in a conversation with sam webb...per isaac. I dont think people always understand who exactly comes on to read these. And i am not saying he went over board and said anything disparaging by any means, just a friendly reminder.

  • Calm people, calm. He's a highly touted recruit who has consistently stated that he won't be committing too early on in the process. He'll take a visit to an elite school to see it while it's still an actual option. Don't go all fingergun or panic on us now.

    And take it FWIW but if York or Dukes are worth scholarships then Harris definitely is. At this point the chance of the staff taking a fourth wide receiver is a real one so even if we take one of Harris/Treadwell we could still take Bailey, who I think will be one hell of a slot player under Borges.

  • Treadwell is not going to USC. If he does not come to Michigan he is most likely heading to Ok State, which I also don't see happening. No matter the case, his recruitment is a long ways away and multiple visits (including another to Michigan at some point) from finishing ...IMO

    I don't doubt Harris is a legitimate prospect, I just don't think he has much marginal value with Dukes and York already on board. I wouldn't complain about him being a third or fourth receiver, I just doubt it happens.

    Also with an offer going out to a kicker and another defensive seeming like a must, two receivers could bring this class to 25, which is more than Hoke estimated at the beginning of the cycle.

  • Wow, you guys bug out over everything don't you. So what he's going on a trip to USC. If he comes to Michigan he comes to Michigan, if he doesn't he doesn't. It's not the end of the world, and I would advise all of you to let this just play out.
