Not getting my hopes up obviously, but Paris is insanely good. Any chance he leaves the state assuming he picks up that Texas offer?

Paris seems legitimately interested in Michigan but no doubt he will be a tough pull. Paris is originally from New Orleans so LSU could have an advantage there. He did say that distance will not be a factor in his decision though.

At least the coaching staff is getting these offers out there, several of our 2013 recruits have said getting the early offer played a part in their decision making.

We just offered the kid aswell. I don't like our chances at all, especially with former 5* RB Aaron Green decomitting. Long road ahead though.

I like Michigan's approach at being aggressive in Texas. I was talking to an NFL contact of mine yesterday, and we were both stunned at how relatively poorly Texas has done lately. No excuse to go 5-7 and 8-5 in two consecutive years at a place like Texas. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Mack Brown if they don't win 10+ games this year. With that in mind, the time could be ripe to pluck a top recruit that has a Longhorn offer out of Texas.

I agree with ya, Todd. We were strong in Texas, backed off, and now trying to make an impact again. Texas seems to be losing relevancy, we are not recruiting there as hard, and it seems that prospects are more willing to go out of state.
I wouldn't mind more recruits from Texas ending up in the B1G. I think it would help all.

I know it's a dream scenario, but can you imagine a defensive backfield of Peppers, Paris, Dymonte Thomas and whatever other safety we pick up in 2013/14? Sweet Jesus. Other teams would pretty much have to resort to the triple option.
