Ticket swap for Buckeye game

  • I have FOUR seats in the visitor's section for The Game on Nov. 24th. Section 6C Row 7 seats 23-26
Here is the deal. I am a diehard Buckeye and I am taking my family to The Game and would prefer to sit amongst my brethren. So I am looking for someone who might have purchased tix amongst us "horrible" people and might be looking for some friendlier confines amongst your own fans? I would be willing to break up 2 and 2 if necessary.
Note for those of you that have never been to the Shoe, these tix are pretty cool as they are on the closed end of the Shoe and you will be overlooking the field from a nice angle allowing you to see the plays quite nicely. I sat in very similar seats just 2 sections over for the Sparty game last year.
I live in MI and work in Troy so I would be willing to do a "trade" even before driving down.
    Message me if interested
    email is buckeyefaninmi@comcast.net

Is any Michigan fans heading down? This is going to be a HUGE game and could be the beginning of the next 10 year war.

Thanks for the offer! Very nice of you to come and offer to Michigan fans.

That said...I made a visit to The Shoe for The Game in 2006...I swore to myself and my wife that I will never ever visit "that place" again. The "dream" of seeing THE GAME (#1 vs #2), was nothing but a frickin' "nightmare" from the time of check-in at the Radisson downtown up and until seeing the "Thanks for visiting Columbus Sign" driving out of town after the game. I know, you are probably a GREAT BUCKEYE fan. Unfortunately...95% of buckeye fans I came across that day were complete DBAGS. Somebody could give me a ticket and I would still much prefer staying right in the comfort of my own home.

I had the same experience. Never going back.

  • I do apologize for the majority of our "boyz". Trust me when I say A squared is not the friendliest of places for us either. I have been to 4 Rivalry games in the House (2001, 2007, 2009, 2011) and have had several unpleasant experiences and I have never been apart of a OSU crowd at these games and I am a rather low key fan. I do think it is just "nasty" on both ends. I did take a Michigan fan to the 2002 game down in the Shoe and he faired OK. I do wish it could be a little more amiable but I really don't think it will ever be that. Funny thing is that generally all other fan bases have a decent time in the Shoe.
I am sure there a few die hards out there that will be traveling down US23 and would rather sit with their Sun and Blue buddies so hopefully we can swap. Sure hope your QB gets healthy or you won't stand a chance.

Nasty on both ends for sure. That said, I've been to MSU several times (I actually think they may hate us more than you do) and I can handle some smack talk before and after a game. But what I went through and what I saw other Michigan fans go through was waaaaaaaay past the line. And I can assure you, if you went through at the Big House in 2001, and had to deal with what some Michigan fans went through in '06 (I can't comment on other years as this was my first trip to the Shoe)....you NEVER would have ended up coming back in '07, '09, and '11. In '06, we hung out with a couple of buckeye fans, and they were literally embarrassed at the actions of their own fanbase. In fact on of the buckeyes we partied with, was spit on not once, twice, but three times by other OSU fans for hanging with us and having a couple beers (while calling them traitors). That was something my buddies and I STILL laugh at today....just witnessing buckeye fans ready to throw down with eachother. The buckeye fans parked next to us while tailgating, opened my buddy's car door, one took a piss in the car and another puked in it. Like I said, I'm sure you're a good guy, but it will be a cold day in hell that I ever decide to go to another game in Cbus.

    Dont blame you.
I have friends that went out to Happy Valley shortly after they joined the B1G and had a great time yet I had some Buckeye fans go out there and had some of the same miserable treatment. I actually debated heading out to our game with my son but thought better of it just for those reasons.
I took my daughter to EL this year and we had a great time. I do think you are right the dislike between Sparty and you is evident.
I do wonder if the Cooper era followed by the Tressel era hasn't polarized our two fan bases truly making the top rivalry in all of sport (although some of those Euro soccer nuts probably might have a thing to say about that lol

  • Went to the last game in the shoe. Honestly it was extremely hostile but i expected that. I was dressed from head to toe in Michigan gear and got crap all game. I will say this though, as many times as guys gave me the finger other OSU fans came up and shook my hand and give me props for being a true fan. This game wasn't close though and everyone knew that it wouldn't be. I grew up an hour away from Columbus so i have taken a beating my whole life. I went to the game with my two best friends that go to school there so i was parting with buckeyes all day. I was hammered from 8am though so maybe i would have noticed more hostility if i was more aware. They invited be again this year but i denied going back. I knew this year was gonna be close and i didn't want to risk being put in a very bad situation.

  • Its stories like these about Colombus that make me want to train MMA, or some Krav Maga type thing and just go rampage on any Buckeye that even looks at me the wrong way. Of course I will have a very good lawyer on standby

No confrontations in the stadium, but if someone pees on my car or spits in my face its on!!

At an Eagles game one of the guys behind us dumped his drink on my girlfriend. Having 10+ years MMA/Boxing experience helped. Don't think I'm allowed back in that stadium(would never go back anyways).

That's how it should be done. Where abouts do you train? I'm w/ CFB in Cincinnati & Shawn Hammonds Jiu Jitsu. Started a YMCA Program in March to teach MMA to at-risk youth in the area and have had more success w/ that than I could ever imagine. We're in the process now of deciding on a qualified wrestling coach, that's the 1 thing we're missing at this point.

I don't really train anymore, but when I do it's at a Gracie gym in Camp Hill, PA. No time anymore really. I've accomplished everything I want to in the sport, had a bunch of Pro fights. Trained with a few UFC fighters. That's awesome starting that program, I love helping the young kids.

Thats fine, we dont want you here...stay in Ohio and do Ohio things and do things like not go to northern Michigan, visit the Sleeping Bear sand dunes, visit Mackinac Island, go wine tasting in Leelanau country, go to the U.P. etc.....Although cedar point is really decent.

A group spitting? I'd say it's probably more likely 1 drunken idiot, when you start exaggerating it makes your story look made up bs_sign

  • Tell ya what. I'll see if I can get my hands on the police report filed. Hopefully they keep those records up there. If you think I'd make up something like that using a child, your sickening. The worst part is that the people this grown man was with defended him trying to say the the child was too young to go to the game.

Regard less cant wait until the 24th. If you couldn't get you hands on Kane coulter good luck against Braxton.

Funny coming from a 3 LOSS team.
And before you go all "tough schedule", I will give you a pass on Bama but ND has NO OFFENSE (see triple OT win against lowly Pitt) and we ran Nebraska right out of the Shoe.

You sound intelligent. I'll put any amount of money we won't see the police report from you. If I had to guess...it never happended. If I had to continue to guess...you're probably one of the biggest OSU dbags there is. Again...just a guess.

I'm not one to make excuses, there are 3 losses. But i'd venture to say if Braxton got hurt in the 2nd Quarter of the Nebraska game that it would be a much different game. I'd also put money on ND to beat ohio fwiw.
