Welcome! I've found that 24/7 gives a lot more updates than scout (I've never been a part of rivals). The staff for this site especially are pretty awesome, they'll answer any questions you have. They have timelines for players and have pages for coaches (or will have them pretty soon) and the site is still being updated with new features really often. All in all I think it's a great deal.

Welcome, Jim! You'll love the interactions over here, we have some great members. The commitment pages are awesome, you'll like those as well. We have highlight tapes, twitter updates, top school lists, etc. Very indepth coverage.
We're growing very quickly and it's great to have you here!
Also, just like wolverine.blue said, the staff is awesome. Steve Wiltfong is the midwest guy who is very professional and will answer any of your questions easily. Todd Worly and Clint Brewster are our guys and they do a phenomenal job keeping us updated.

One thing I've noticed the 24/7 crew does better than competitors is keep up with recruits on their top schools, and adjust the interest level toward the school accordingly. If you look at Rivals/Scout, you'll see that every school that has offered basically has "medium" interest, whereas here, the staff will adjust the interest level depending on what the recruit told them.

I also like the interaction between the writers and the posters here more than on any other site. The recruit database is top notch. The site also has a very clean look, which I really appreciate.
And please don't be afraid of buttesnake. Most days he simply forgets to take his meds.

The best part of the Wolverine247 is the writers. Clint, Todd, and Steve all do a great job covering recruiting. You can ask them questions on the board, and don't have to wait for a weekly chat for an answer.

I appreciate the rational fans here probably the most. Very little trolling/bickering/crap posting. The board, writers, and coverage here are top notch IMO.
