National Football Post: LeRibeus has gained a lot of steam over the past couple months and has the kind of power to hold up inside vs. the bull rush. However, I don't see a natural athlete in pass protection and I think there were better linemen on the board. NFL ceiling: Average starter. NFL floor: Reserve.

I don't know the Titans well, is Martin going to fit in well there with what they're trying to do defensively?

Not to sure, this is only the second year of our new regime.

I can ask Terry (one of the Titan writers here), he would know a lot better than me lol. I am just so excited that the Titans finally picked a Michigan player.

  • I loved the Reiff pick in the first, it was the smart move. We could have taken Konz and put him at OG and then have him replace Raiola at C in a year or two. We needed a forth WR but Konz would have improved the team more, in my opinion. I wasn't a big fan of the Titus Young pick last year but ended up loving it near the end of the season, hope Broyles is the same. We got our corner in the third, although there were a few more highly ranked ones on the board. Rankings for players outside of first round are much less indicative of how good the player will be down the road, however. We'll see.

    What are my Skins doing?

I would rather not know....they took OG Josh Ribeus from SMU. Probably a decent pick. Still not sold on RGIII, for the price paid.

    Congrats to Martin though...well deserved.

LeRebeus was a reach and we'll have to wait and see on RG3. Are you a Skins fan btw?

  • Breaking up the draft into three days sucks. I don't like it at all.

I would prefer it to be 1st and second rounds on Friday then have the rest throughout Saturday.

  • Agree with all if you. Why they picked Thursday doesn't make sense.

  • The 3 day thing just ruins the momentum. It totally sucks.

  • Very happy for Mike. Looking forward & hoping to seeing Junior getting drafted tomorrow. As a NY Giant fan, glad we got Ruben Randle. He did his best in keeping his emotions in check. Really wanted Fleener and Martin, the RB from Boise St. Damn Rams. !

Absolutely terrible pick, Lavonte David would have made sense a wideout though? We are stacked at that position.

Actually we aren't. We run a ton of 3 and 4 WR sets, we have Megatron, Titus, and Burleson (who is older and doesn't have much left) and no one. Broyles also helps as a returner. I don't love the pick or anything, but it isn't nearly as bad as some people think.

Yes it is. Top 5 offense vs 25th ranked d. Your basically saying RR was right in worrying about just the offense and not the D. The Dline is incredible, the back 7 isn't. Look at San Fran, their offense is nothing special, their D is and in 1 year under new coaching they almost made the super bowl. The lions messed up there is no defending that.

That is terrible logic. Take a very good WR prospect that fits a need or take an average defensive prospect who fits a need. I'll take the good player.

I don't think the defensive players available were average. David or both corners Johnson and Robinson would of been very good picks. I would of even preferreed taking another OL over taking a WR.

That's stupid logic, you pick needs not wants, David isn't average he's a machine.

What you don't realize is the Lions, had an outstanding offense last year with no run game. When Mikel is healthy this year it will be even better. The defense, won't be.

But defend the player coming of an ACl tear, whom we don't need. You obviously forgot Matt M.

  • You clearly don't know how the Lions draft, they go BPA, not needs. WR is also a need. By your logic we should offer some random 3rd TE in this class because it is a "need" instead of using it on another position of need with better prospects. Mayhew said Broyles was their clear BPA at that point. I like David a lot, and probably would have preferred him, but there are still several good LB available. Jim Schwartz also tends to prefer to draft LB in the middle rounds dating back to his days as Titans DC and thus far as Lions HC.

Oh yeah, LeShoure has proven nothing, and there is no certainty he is 100% coming off of an achillies injury. He could also be suspended for being a moron.

Part of the secondaries problem last year was injuries, if they are healthier, that alone makes them better.

But go ahead, keep acting like you know what you are talking about.

No random TE was when we needed an OT, took Petigrew and oh crap Stafford gets hurt. Sorry man but defending the lions here is dumb

What super bowl team had the better offense this year? Which one had the better defense? Who won? If you need me to I can do this for college football too.
