I'm sure Bama did pretty well against your o-line. I didn't see the game so that is an assumption. I'm not going to compare our D-line with Bama, but we are close. Definitely more of a challenge to your O-line than your other 2 opponents. I still take our guys in this contest.

I was pleasantly surprised w/ how the o-line held up... kept Denard a nice pocket, but they couldn't open holes in the running game w/ Bama's gap control.

As long as you're not a jerk about it you'll be fine.

4-0 will have you right in the mix for a BCS bowl.

There were several Bama fans that stuck around after the game w/ no incident. I like that this group isn't very touchy, and allows other fanbases to enjoy conversation as long as they aren't jackasses.

The problem for any opponent is whether you risk flushing Denard. Alabama made the decision not to, and let Denard beat them through the air. The real difference is that Bama's secondary is as good as their line...ND, not so much. That doesn't mean Denard beats ND through the air...just saying that it is more likely against ND than Bama.

I have had many conversations on the UM board with no real problems, and USC for that matter. Try and have a meaningful talk with anyone on RCMB and they rip your head off and downvote the piss out of you.loco

no one put pressure on denard these three weeks rushing 4 guys. don't think UM has the same line as MSU, its not even close. they think cause bell had a big game against boise that they have a good line. If ND can put pressure on denard with three guys I will never post here again. ND is gonna need 6 guys to get through

Chipotle gift cards are my personal bet of choice. ND is averaging 3 or 4 sacks a game I think. Let's call the over/under 3.5 and I'll put a $10 gift card against anyone who wants the action. If we get 4 or more, you send me the card in the mail; if we get 3 or less, I'll send it to you.

    Any takers?

The concept of sacks is difficult to track with Denard because it's hard to tell sometimes whether he intends to run or pass. And many times both options are designed into the same play. He will not get sacked four times by ND in the traditional sense, i.e. he drops back and clearly intends to pass but is dragged down behind the LOS. But he very well could have four TFL that get recorded as sacks depending on how the statistician sees his intent. But who cares? If he is able to move the chains (either with his legs or through the air) and get the ball into the endzone, total sacks and TFL stats are meaningless.

I don't steal. me taking this bet is the same as stealing 10 bucks from you. you can pressure UM all day and still cant sack denard 4 times. you got to remember that shoelace is not a statue. if you get in the backfield on a passing play then you should get the sack on a team with a slow QB, but when you get in the backfield on UM you still have to catch denard. its pretty hard for a 300 lbs guy to get a hit on denard; for a statue like maxwell its not so hard.
