Story on UM commit Conley and Oregon

  • Priest has to be everyone's favorite option. I'm not sure how realistic it is, but if conley does take off I hope We go all out for Willis.

    Good news is that this should be over quickly. It's his decision and a visit would be coming up soon if they offered today. His coach I've heard wants him to stick to his choice but its been very clear his mom wants him on the west coast. It seems as if he is on the clock! We are taking wagers on the place your bets thread......jk

    Good point! The sooner the better, so Michigan can work on a back up plan if they need to ASAP.

    Well clint, We have a few months. Recruiting is so fluid We may have options open that We would never guess right now. Plus I'm not entirely sure he goes but if he does, We have time. Thats the good news.

    Willis has expressed interest in Michigan as long as I can remember. The last I remember reading however was that he had not heard from our coaches in a long time.

    grumbleNot hearing from our coaches is probably due to being full at the DB positions. grumble

    I wonder if the coaches would even go for another corner. Stribling, Jourdan Lewis, and Douglas would Still be a good haul. Blake will be a RS Soph, Raymon a true JR, TRich a RS Frosh, and then a 2014 class stocked with guys like Westphal and Webb. Seems like a late replacement would need to be elite to be recruited.

    I'm a bit curious as to how the conversations went with the coaches before he cancelled the Cincy visit, because for him to come out in public with comments that make it clear that Michigan is just a placeholder, you have to believe the coaches either already know he's gone or he lied to their faces.

    Maybe ... the coaches had suspicions weeks back, which is why LM III's recruitment picked up more steam ???

    To me We had too many. However, the coaches kept making statements about filling that secondary with as many playmakers as possible. If he does go, I would not be surprised to see them going after another player other then lm3 to fill out that position. It just seems they are determined to fill it.

    Ive heard from multiple trojan posters that Priests injury is a littler worse then expected. That is why they backed off and went another route.

    I would not mind offering him a scholly is one opens up... He plays the game fast and aggressive... Hope Conley sticks because he looks like a helluva corner... Great athlete that can play multiple positions... Heres to him denying Oregon and staying put with Michigan )even though it looks like mom is really forcing his hand)

    Delano Hill reminds me of Danny O'brien last yr. Some players are camp warriors, Danny O fit that description to the T because he would shine in camps but when you looked at game film he just doesn't look like the same dominate player. Hill is the same deal, fast in camps making plays in 7-7, but I have yet to see him stand out this yr or last. You see Webb and Lewis making plays for CT this yr, I haven't seen or heard much from Hill. Not sold at all.

  • Doesn't matter how talented a prospect is, if he isn't all Blue, he shouldn't be here. Being a Wolverine is a privilege.

    Not writing Conley off, I just won't be sad if he commits elsewhere.

    Hill reminds me of Bob Sanders from Iowa and the Colts.

    How many CT games have you been to this year? Have you seen him play in person, or just 2 minutes of video from youtube??

    Wow pretty crappy move by him. Really is crappy that we turned other guys down for visits and potential commits because we believed in him.

    Although I agree with Coach Hoke's policy, if an 17 or 18 year old kid wants to visit another school, there is absolutely no need to bash him at all. Wish him well and move on. It is not like he signed a LOI in blood or anything. It's also plenty of time before signing day for Coach Hoke and the coaching to recruit alternatives (or just hold on to the extra spot for next year).
