Stewart's skillset would obviously fit the Wolverines future pro-style offense nicely. His accuracy was a little off early on Saturday but he ended up having a really solid day. It will be interesting to see where Michigan stands after he attends camp this summer.

Good question. There's going to be competition wherever he goes so IMO he can't be worried about that.

I think he will get his offer when he camps here. Looks to be a top 100 prospect and the top QB in the State. Fits our offense perfectly. I predict he gets an offer when he camps this summer.

FWIW, several high school coaches in Michigan have told me Stewart will be a big-time prospect. I haven't seen him play, so I'm just passing along what I've heard.

As for competition, one thing I've observed is that in general, especially with quarterbacks, the key is whether or not they're the only quarterback taken in their class. Most of them don't place much importance on which quarterbacks are in the classes ahead of them. I haven't talked to Stewart about this, but just passing along a general observation.

Especially with quarterbacks, each player develops differently, so it may click for one guy his sophomore year, and another guy early in his senior year. And because quarterback is such a cerebral position, I think it's a little dangerous to fully evaluate a kid as a sophomore, especially when you consider the enormous disparity in the quality of coaching these kids receive in high school. Some of the kids that take a little longer for everything to come together end up being the best players in the long run.
