Stewart Has First Offer

Sturgis (Mich.) High class of 2014 QB Chance Stewart has his first offer. What are in-state powers Michigan and Michigan State telling him about a potential scholarship?

Thanks Steve. Nice to see Stewart's hard work paying off. I thought Stewart was very solid when I saw him perform at the Adidas Elite Showcase in April. It will be interesting to see what happens at camp this summer.

  • I think it will be a battle between kizer and Stewart for the qb spot in the 2014 class assuming Michigan only takes 1.

I think the coaches would prefer Kizer, but what I've always wondered is, will they wait for Kizer? Some have said he could be the top overall QB by the time he's done with his senior year.

  • He is still very raw compared to some others I've heard. But with plenty of time to sit behind morris it sounds like a perfect situation

It's not that he is raw, he just needs work on his technique and work on his consistency with his throws. He is a good prospect, not great. I would definitely take Kizer over him, but wouldn't be opposed to taking both.

  • Thanks Steve! There will be some pretty stiff competition this summer among 2014 quarterbacks for a Michigan offer. May the best man win.

Tell me a little about Kizer, the kid from Toledo. Why is your fanbase so jacked about him and kind of soft on the kid from Sturgis and the other kid from Ithaca. Pardon my ignorance, no time to watch any of the film from him yet.

Kizer is a big kid 6'5 207 already. He is listed as a dual threat QB but he definelty has the passing skills to run a pro style offense. I think most of us are really high on him because he can move and provide a threat running the ball but still possesses the passing skills to run a pro style offense. He is truly a dual threat QB. Stewart is more in the John Navarre, Chad Henne mold.
