Statement from Jordan Diamond regarding rumors

  • The following is a statement Jordan Diamond apparently made on his facebook page regarding the rumors Michigan fans and others have been spreadinfg about him getting paid. This kind of kills the theory that he is going to admit to being paid by Auburn:

    Look!
This month has already been rough on me and the family. Now y'all wanna
come at me with this. I left CHICAGO because I didn't wanna be around
or apart of the violence and the controversy any more. I wanted to get as
far away as possible but still feel at home and AU is that place. I
came down here because I wanted to go to Auburn. Don't get me wrong I loved
all the schools that recruited me and I wish them well but Auburn is better and ultimately has the better
opportunity for me to play early, and a great family atmosphere. Please
let me enjoy my years here at AU because I only got a few of them. Thank
    you...

  • Honestly, nobody cares... Random side question, what do you think about the A&M-Auburn game? Score prediction?

  • You claim nobody cares, but Michigan fans are among the people spreading the rumors that made him feel like he needed to make that post on his facebook page. As far as the game goes I dont see Auburn shutting down Johnny Manziel and Auburn's offense has had a hard time scoring against anyone. It will probably stay close in the first half and then A&M will probably pull away in the second half and win fairly easily.

The rumor wasn't started here or by anyone here, so why bring it here? Also, I agree with your prediction I'm thinking 38-17.

  • Ohio State fans are tweeting it as well as many other fanbases. The whole thing started on the National Rivals board by a non Michigan fan, so why do you continue to insist it is all a result of Michigan fans? It's interesting, so people are talking about it.

And he's hardly denying it with that statement. I'm not saying it's true, but I wouldn't leave something open ended if people were slandering me and the rumors were totally false.

  • This clown must think we don't know what former Auburn Head Coach Terry Bowden said about the cheating culture of Auburn.

Auburn has almost always been in the Alabama's long shadow. And given that Bryant wasn't above cheating, the only way Auburn could hope to match Alabama was through cheating.

Did you also watch the 30 for 30 espn special about the fab 5? Auburn has never been caught paying players even half that much money

Yeah, we are talking about news, not spreading rumors.
I mean What are we suppose to do.....not talk about news?

  • You mean the same Ohio State that is currently on probation, that hired Jim Tressel as their coach even after he got Youngstown State on probation for cheating, and had players like Terrel Pryor driving around about 7 different cars during their careers in Columbus. Yeah, they are not exactly a credible source to accuse anybody else of cheating

  • Ban this idiot

We didn't start the rumor nor do we care. Just bc your team is terrible (1-6) doesn't mean you need to be here.

You and Ohio State fans have been the main people spreading it on 247. In fact, you have been the only people spreading it on 247 as far as I know. A Michigan fan is actually the person who posted this rumor on the Ohio State board

    I bolded the relevant part.

And as AU alum Charles Barkley likes to say, "If Auburn only paid $180,000 for Newton, then we got a steal."

I'll scream it from the mountaintops if I feel like it. You crying about it isn't going to stop me or anyone else.

Take your blue board ass out of here. This is a place of common sense and reasonable thoughts, not a place of trash.

Said this last time this tool came over here. First of all why is he lurking here all the time, he literally must be on this site every minute of every day because his obsession with Bama is already consuming 99% of his time.

SO again. Mods please ban this blabbering fool.

  • Yeah, after reading his response I have no doubt at all that he got paid. He made no attempt to deny it, he only said that he wanted to be left alone. Auburn HAS to get caught at some point don't they? Right? They're just getting cocky and sloppy now because they think (know?) that absolutely nothing bad will happen to them. I know paying players is nowhere near as bad as extra stretching but this is just getting silly now.

Wow if you could find kids intelligent enough to go to your farm yard football ruled barn, maybe you would see Auburn playing basketball. Instead you recruit point shavers in basketball recently, and I'm not a roll model previously. Your precious football team is now shooting each other, transcript fraud, paid quarterbacks. Even Bo knows all you do is cheat!

  • Ole Miss? SEC school down on its luck with rich alumni. Now they are appearing in all these top kids final 5? We all saw the movie!
