    This is pathetic. A few things I really am ashamed of about that.

    1) Even the good mod, Aussie, has stated he will just stay away from tBB. That means he won't be doing his job at all.
    2) They all seem to think it's only Michigan posters and that it is a North-South issue. Leave it to them to make it a sectional issue.
    3) The mods, and most of the posters there, actually believe that racism and sexism is less vulgar than swearing.
    4) They believe we are all pansies for not wanting to be associated with bigotry.
    5) It's time the staff get's rid of Aussie and MarineMountie as mods. I used to like Aussie, but this did it. Both are intentionally misusing or not using their powers and are denying their responsibilities.

  • MarineMountie said he was going to disappear until football season. How can someone possibly be a mod if they're just going to take off for a month and not do any moderating? Seriously, riddle me that.

    As for Aussie, it really is just sad that a mod doesn't see any problem with homophobic, racist, and sexist slurs. I honestly think his image of this board is that every single member is a straight white male, age 18-25, who has no problem with any offensive remarks. I think some new mods are absolutely in order.

    I think part of it was the timing. I think a lot of them thought it was the more innocent chic-fil-a discussion and jokes. I don't think many of them realized the prevalence of legitimately racist and anti-homosexual comments.

    And yes, they need to revamp their mod lineup completely.

I am really not concerned with all of this complaining." Another mod, MarineMountie says "What do we get? We get beat down by people from little Canada because we have opinions of our own. Yea, if you cry on a message board over ANYTHING then you are a pansy. That is my opinion. Does that keep me from enforcing the rules when I see something? Of course not. They think we aren't normal posters that have opinions on things just like they do." I hope that 247 can reamin a place for all people to be welcome without slurs even if some don't deem them derogatory. Thank You!

    I the mods defense the last couple of days, there have been plenty of threads where people are trying to goad Michigan fans and they have been locked quickly and/or deleted.

    It was mostly Kitemac. I don't realy have a problem with him because he doesn't let his beliefs control what he censors. MM ain't going to do anything. That's for sure, and Aussie doesn't really flame the way MM does, but has stated that he will do little to keep the board clean.
