Rumor

  • Kenny Wilkins has left the team. Read this on the victors board.

    Once again, this is only a rumor as of right now. I have not been able to confirm this, nor anyone has. I'm sure we'll hear more about this soon. Either abolishing it, or confirming it.

  • Best of luck to him, again could be a win win. He never was going to play. Only think I'm concerned about is the depth issue with guys leaving for THIS year. Rather have guys leave after the season cause we already have commits for guys the coaches assumed would leave the program

  • Shouldn't affect our two deep so as long as we aren't plagued by injuries it shouldn't be that big of a deal but down the line you sometimes like those upperclassmen to step up if the new guys don't pan out.

  • It would be a shame if this is true, but attrition is expected each year. That is why the coaches were targeting 24 recruits this year when we started with (I think) 18 schollies available. The departure of Carter brought it up to 22 available, and this would make it 23. Most people will wonder if this will allow for another '13 spot to open up, but we are still not at the attrition needed to complete the class as is, assuming that we would take Green and Treadwell to put the class at 25. There are always the would be 5th year seniors that won't be asked back, but Hoke and Co. seem to be the type to let these kids stay if they want to. If a kid is burried on the depth chart, the coaches will likely paint that picture for him and let him make the call. This is just speculation on my part, but the coaches have shown a commitment to the kids more as young men than as football players. If they can still teach life lessons, I think they will.

    Most likely a few fifth years won't be back. Look at past off season, the same will happen.

    Clark is scheduled to start practicing today I believe.

How can you admonish one coach for punishing players and then completely turn a blind eye when it's your guy? If its because it's "your guy", then so be it, I just feel you lose credibility to question anyone else.

    He might be practicing, but I don't think Clark plays until his court situation is cleared up. Also, this is a Michigan 247 board, don't act like the mods at tRCMB don't bust out the banhammer for any Michigan fans that go against the sunshine blowing mentality over there. If you wanna go argue this, there is a thread on tBB for it.
