Michigan Wolverines WR Roy Roundtree out two weeks after knee surgery; Fitzgerald Toussaint and Frank Clark to return Monday - ESPN

  • Well the silver lining in this is he's the receiver with the most experience. May throw off his conditioning but him and Denard have played a lot of football together. Some of those younger guys will get more reps with the 1st team.

It's certainly not good. We're already thin at WR, and this makes that worse. Increasingly, it's looking like we're going to need Fitz to play against 'Bama to be able stay in that game.

  • Not 2 games...2 weeks. He will be back at the end of August and be ready for Bama barring any set backs. I can tell you from personal experience that this type of surgery is very routine with minimal recovery time. He'll be ready to go in a week but they'll prolly give him another week of recovery before full contact. My brother was a DL in high school and had the surgery on Friday Night after our opener and was back on the field 100% the next Friday. No worries here guys.

  • He's supposed to miss 2 weeks, not 2 games. He should be available during practice week leading up to the Bama game

Well, there is a pretty big difference between 2 games and 2 weeks.

It's bad to lose Roundtree, but trying to look optimistically, it'll give Gardner and maybe Robinson/Darboh some time running with the 1's. That's great experience for some guys who lack experience. Also, it sounds like this knee problem had been nagging him for a while, so I'm glad it'll be out of the way before the season starts. Hopefully he can step up and produce.

It was a bad edit and literally said "2 games" for less than 60 seconds.

Forget it though, I'm taking a hiatus.

Before I leave, can I suggest everyone start using inbox messages to suggest corrections instead of clogging up threads? It's also more polite to do it that way, and that's actually how we used to suggest corrections on the thread.

Things were much better on tbb with the "Michigan Thread", no doubt about it.

I think you're too sensitive for the internet. Just relax and lighten up.

He still will be IMO. He'll study a lot of film and study techniques etc, which is really what he needs. He'll also be able to get stronger in his upper body and become a smarter player. 2 weeks isn't that big of a deal. It's obviously not ideal, but he'll come out of this stronger.

    (optimistic me)

Great shirt and buttesnake is definitely missed. Always worry about surgeries hope he is back and ready for Bama.

    Classy.
You'd fit in well on tRCMB.

He's right though. You were to sensitive to critism in the old thread and you still are today. Lighten up or grow thicker skin, preferably both.

Edit: As already stated by Duck, huge difference between 2 weeks of practice and missing 2 games. The significance of missing games is going to draw out responses if wrong, PM or on the board. Nobody was trashing you for it either, just pointing out that the title was wrong.

This. Everyone makes mistakes and we correct each other on it. No reason to get all defensive.
