Ricardo Miller Leaves Team

According to his facebook page (no, I am not friends with him), Ricardo Miller is no long a part of the Michigan football team.
"yes the message I said a few days about me leaving in May implies that I am no longer with the Michigan football team. I am pursing my degree in political science and continuing my football dream and my masters degree somewhere else. #Gods plan for me."
Best of luck to him wherever he goes.

Good luck to him. And a reminder why we shouldn't get all worked up about recruits. It's an interesting thing to follow and watch players enter the program, but every career is different. Ricardo was a 4* WR and Internet legend because of his recruiting. He was a sure fire #1 jersey according to some, but ultimately never played a meaningful snap. Great kid who went through coaching changes and not having a position, so hope it works out wherever he ends up.

Seemed like a great dude; for those who don't know, he preceded Shane as Michigan's "super recruiter." Personally sad to see that his impact at Michigan (on the football field) was negligible; seemed as if he really wanted to make a difference at WR. Finished his degree in 3 years looks like.

This was a kid I LOVED. Absolutely. Remember how hard he tried to recruit other guys?
I am sorry to see him go, and to me, the way he behaved, he will always be a Michigan man.

Also sad to see that era of recruiting end the way it has. Between Ricardo, Kenny Shaw (FSU), Dee Hart (Bama), and Nick Patti (Boise St), some Michigan fans were talking about a potential pipeline into Dr. Phillips HS (also HaHa, but he was always Bama bound).

I'm bummed that it didn't work out for him on the field here. Sounds like he is a smart, good kid though, and that degree will be huge for him in his life. Good luck to him wherever he decides to transfer in the end.

That's a shame that it never worked out for him, it always seemed like he was caught between positions and schemes and just never got a comfortable place on the field.
Hope he finds success elsewhere (a la Mike Cox) if he continues to play football.

Does this open up a scholly for this year, or possibly next year? The roster has him has a JR, not sure if he was a RS JR?

Currently a RS (So). So yes it is another scholly for this year.
